Comments about Caldrea Countertop Spray,, Rosewater Driftwood, 16 fl oz:
Despite the fact that I normally make my own all purpose spray, I bought this on sale because they were out of this new scent in the linen spray and I just could not wait to try this new caldrea scent! I had the feeling that this was, for me anyway, going to kind of be like the more girly version of sea salt neroli, and I was not wrong! Now, I normally do not like perfume or cologne fragerances...I usually prefer essential oils. However, Caldrea has done well in balancing essential oils with "fragrance" oil, and this is the only line of "not as natural" scents that I do like and does not immediately give me a headache. If you are really super senstive to that, you might prefer something more like their manderine vitiver...it is far more natural in scent. (skip the detergent on that scent though, it wont even make it to the dryer with the smell) This one smells nothing like the sea salt neroli, but it has that same perfume/colonge like quality. Just as the other smells like a nice masculine colonge, this smells like a nice perfume! (and I must note, it does not smell like rosewater...I use rosewater to cook...it is a more typical rose perfume scent but I still really like it because it has that aquatic smelling balance with the "driftwood") As for how the cleaner works, well I am surprised...it cuts through everything I have tried it on with ease. (I am only surprised because the caldrea line of laundry detergent does not clean as well as the biokleen detergent I use, but it smells so good I keep buying it anyway to mix with my biokleen, lol) This spray is "almost" as good as my home made cleaner, for most applications I could replace my home made with this stuff.(my home made one works so well, it out performs every other natural cleaner I have ever purchased...and I have purchased dozens over the last 12 years) I cleaned the following items with ease with this stuff: my kitchen counters, cabinets, stove top, kid dirt on walls, and make-up gunk on my bathroom counter. I did also use it on a reusable air conditioner filter which is the one item that did not clean as well or with as much ease as my own home made. The scent is really long lasting. I sprayed this on these items yesterday (started cleaning with it as soon as the package arrived, lol, smells so good you kind of ENJOY cleaning! I was wandering around my house thinking, what else can I spray this on so I don't waste it just smelling it? lol) Today, I can still smell it quite well in my bathroom...I think because the space is so much smaller than the other areas, the scent has really lingered. I can only very slightly smell it from the air filter, but the kitchen (mine is very large and open 18x23 feet) has since lost the scent. So, for smaller rooms, you will smell it for a while! I love that. I cant wait until drugstore starts carrying the detergent in this scent! I will totally be using this on my clothing considering I dont wear perfumes often (because I usually get headaches)but on the flip side, I do love things that smell good so this is a really nice compromise for me.
