There are no polishes alone that would close the splits that never seem to heal. These bandages are the only things I've found that give me relief. Inspite of arthritis, I'm a major sewer and my nails would snag the fabrics. Pulling on threads is also a big issue with split nails. Because of this activity, keeping the bandages on was a bit of a problem (it's also why I didn't fault the product). I've found that if I put a coat of a nail strenghtening product on first, then the bandage and finally another coat of strenghtener the nail remains protected for almost a week. Comments about Calico Invisible Nail Bandages, 30 ea: When I break a nail halfway or just get a crack, I grab a nail bandage, place it on the crack. My nail grows out as if nothing had happened. These are the perfect 'patch' to cover splits and even to help reinforce your nails till they get stronger. Calico should double the amount of ovals in the package.
