My 3 year old has had eczema since he was an infant. I have tried many moisturizers, including ones recommended by the pediatrician, but none of them works as well on his skin as this California Baby product. I will continue to purchase this product until he no longer has eczema or they stop making it. After just one application (usually after bath) his skin is smoother by the morning but within two days, I can stop using it because the bumps are gone.

California baby used to be my favorite brand. It was what I was using on my daughter since she was a newborn. We tried Burt's Bees and it gave her a rash. California baby calendula wash handled that issue, all with a delightful natural scent.

However, it appears that they have changed the formulations of their products. Calendula used to be listed as one of the top 3 ingredients in their calendula lotion. This calming cream smells much different from when we bought it a few months ago. Less herby, more chemically. Don't get me wrong, the products still get the job done, but quality has gone down. More specifically, the amount of the selling "nature's first aid" ingredient: calendula has decreased which is readily apparent when you read the label (the order in which the ingredients appear indicates the amount of it within the product, i.e. if it's first, there's more. if it's last, there's less), when you smell it (where is the entirely refreshing herbal smell?), and her scratches now take longer to heal (must be the fact that there is now less calendula).

Will now be trying Butt Naked with Calendula, Green Tea and White Tea Lotion.

Comments about California Baby Cream, Calming, 4 oz:

I use this on my toddler and preschooler, on dryer areas of their skin like knees and elbows. On other parts of the body, they use California Baby's Moisturizing Lotion. I think this is adequate for kids, but I don't think it is moisturizing enough for my dry skin!
