We love California Baby products and have been using them on our twins since birth. We were concerned that regular products may cause skin sensitivity such as eczema or dryness. Our babies were premies so we were even more concerned for their tender skin. We've used CB for 5 months and are extremely happy.

We started off with the 9.5 oz bottles of the Sensitive shampoo and body lotion. Once we finished those we switched to this Calming line (I just wanted a little bit more scent but not too strong). Our babies smell nice and fresh and never had skin problems.

Last month we ran out of the CB body lotion. While waiting for the new bottle to arrive, we used Burt's Bee body lotion that we received from our baby shower. It was way too watery and did not moisturize well at all. One of our girls ended up with dry patches on her back because the product didn't absorb well so it ended up wiped off on her clothes. When the CB body lotion arrived, I couldn't wait to put it on her. Within a day of using the Calming lotion plus the Calendula cream on the dry patches, her skin was nice and soft again.

The Calming lotion is not greasy whatsoever. In fact it seems lightweight that I was afraid it wouldn't be moisturizing enough for our sub-zero winter and use of heater but their skins were always well moisturized. I think the texture is just right and I plan to use it all year round.

I now recommend CB products to all my friends. I even bought a few gift packs for upcoming baby showers. They're going to love it!

I purchased a 3 pack of this lotion while it was on sale at another site. Being pregnant, I have tried to get away from chemical laden products. This lotion, while scoring very low on the Skin Deep database, is also fairly cheap for a natural product. It absorbs wonderfully, doesn't leave the slightest greasy feeling, and makes my hands feel very soft. (I used to use the old formula Jergens aloe lotion, before they added the cucumber and ruined the smell. This lotion makes my hands feel just as good!)

However, the smell of this lotion is almost overpowering. It's not quite lavender-ish as the bottle describes, but is very strong. I have yet to try the sensitive skin lotion, but I have the super sensitive shampoo/body wash that I have been using and there is just a slight scent to that. I'm switching to the super sensitive lotion, since without the strong smell, this lotion would be close to perfect.

Another great product from California Baby. I buy this for my grandson -- his mother uses this product on him every day, especially after getting out of the tub and before going outside in cold weather. He's 3 now and she's been using it ever since he was an infant.

I love this lotion! It smells great and is perfect to put on my baby after his bath before he goes to bed. I benefit from it too since it is nice and relaxing to lotion him. I love it and plan on buying the bigger size next time.

My kids don't really have any skin problems but I began to use this product and others from this company after becoming educated about the chemicals and fragrances in many of the commercial products that are available, even those for babies. Go to [@] and read about Mustela and those other products with the heavy fragrances that we have come to associate with babies. Those fragrances are manufactured and the labels don't have to tell you what they contain. Think I am paranoid, then think about BPA and all the other chemicals that the government is now admitting are harmful. It takes years before people become aware these things are unsafe, even at low doses (but often with daily use).

I love the consistency of this lotion. It's not greasy, but it's very moisturizing. It's perfect for my little boys delicate skin. It's great for his whole body as well as when he scratches his little face, it's very soothing and help heals it very fast. I absolutely love the smell it very, very calming to him. I love it, and would recomend it to anyone who want a good lotion that dosent have any harsh chemicals ,parabens, petroleum or mineral oil.

I have been looking for a lotion that had no alcohol and had the kind of consistency that was not too thick or runny. Just like the story of Goldilocks and the 3 bears, this is JUST RIGHT.

I have given this lotion 3 stars, because I love it. Sadly, it really aggravated my daughter's eczema. We have been using Vanicream for the last 2 years based on our allergist's recommendation, and her skin has been pretty clear, but I was really hoping to switch to something more natural. We use the California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo and Body Wash and it's been great, but as soon as we tried the Calming Lotion, she flared up as badly as I've seen it in years. Bummer. Anyway, I'm using it after my shower and I love it, so it won't go to waste!
