I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old and wanted a sunscreen without dangerous chemicals but one that was strong enough to protect their super-fair skin (after being inside in cold NYC all winter) from the FL sun. I was a little concerned from some of the reviews that it would be pasty thick, but it was creamy and flowed out easily. You have to rub a little more than with chemical sunscreens but the difference isn't at all dramatic and what wouldn't you do for your kids to be safe? We swam a ton and it stayed on. I'm proud to say my kids are as pale as they were when we left! :) One piece of advice - put it on before you dress your kids. It does look pearly white on clothes or rashers or bathing suits. Cons Best Uses Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: We use this product for both kids and adults in our familyt!!! It works great without the harmful chemicals in most sunscreens and received the safest rating possible. A big negative is that it is very difficult to rub in (especially on men due to their body hair), but once you have it, it really lasts and works well. Pros

Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: I ordered this product since I am concerned with all the toxic chemicals in most sunscreen products. I use this on myself and my daughter (who is 7). As a melanoma survivor I am concerned with sun exposure but also the toxic chemicals contained in most products. It is a little thick and you need to rub it in a lot to remove the white color but I feel that is a small price to pay for a sunscreen that is SAFE to use and also effective. Pros

Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: Bought this on the rec of EWG website as a low-risk sunscreen (few harmful chemicals) and am very pleased. It works well - no burns while using this. Smells nice (faint scent). No white residue - blends in very well. Water/sweat resistent. Have had no skin issues while using (rashes, acne, etc.) Would def buy again, although would prob need discount or coupon - it's pretty pricey. While I love it, it makes me search for something just as safe and effective, for less money. Pros

Best Uses Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: for a non chemical suncreen, this is great. This is a titanium based suncreen which means that it is thick and white and takes longer to rub in compared to the regular on the shelf suncreens. However, this is one of the best non chemical suncreens and it has a pleasant smell. Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: This is a really good sunblock if you have normal to dry skin. Certainly not for those with oily skin. Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: This stuff is crazy, couldn't get it to rub in so the kids ran around looking like ghosts with sand stuck to them, then it just washes off in the water, the weird thing is it does not come out of the crack in their skin i.e. behind the knees or inside the elbows. had to scrub that part off with a washcloth. Needless to say the kids got sunburned anyway despite my efforts. Need more than zinc. Pros

Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: I have been searching high and low for a sunblock that didn't cause an allergic reaction on my skin and that could also be shared with my toddler. California Baby Sunblock has a light cintronella scent that is not unpleasant, spreads well considering it is water resistant and has few ingredients (a big plus). My toddler and I have been sunburn-free since using the product. The unscented version is just as effective but is more difficult to spread. Pros

Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: I bought this specifically for use at baseball games where the strong afternoon sun beats directly down on you for hours, and it works great. My husband is a redhead, so this really works. This rubs in much better than the Badger sunscreen and is smoother, but is still thick and very white on your skin. It is very waterproof, so great for sports. I have to scrub with an exfoliating towel to wash it off in the shower. It actually wears very well underneath makeup to give you extra sun (and therefore wrinkle) protection. Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » ![]() |
