I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old and wanted a sunscreen without dangerous chemicals but one that was strong enough to protect their super-fair skin (after being inside in cold NYC all winter) from the FL sun. I was a little concerned from some of the reviews that it would be pasty thick, but it was creamy and flowed out easily. You have to rub a little more than with chemical sunscreens but the difference isn't at all dramatic and what wouldn't you do for your kids to be safe? We swam a ton and it stayed on. I'm proud to say my kids are as pale as they were when we left! :) One piece of advice - put it on before you dress your kids. It does look pearly white on clothes or rashers or bathing suits. Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: Although targeted to kids, I use this myself because I have sensitive skin. I works perfectly, stays on after swimming, and causes no irritation. My friend who is normally allergic to sun screen tried it, and said it had no adverse affects on her either. Perfect sun screen, and worth every penny. Pros

Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: This is the only sunscreen we could use on our kids that didn't make them break out or burn. We have used it for years.(Kids are now in college). We can't find a sunblock that is any better. It is hard to rub in, and stays white for a while, but we wouldn't use anything else. The whole family uses it. Also it doesn't have oxybenzone(chemical). Best stuff on the market. Pros

Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: So, it's a bit thick and has that white-ish tinge to it. Rub it in your palms and then into skin and you're good. It's thick because it's a physical sunblock, no chemicals absorbed into your skin. (Yay!) I've shared this with a friend who seems to have the most sensitive, fussiest skin around and even she swears by it now. Only 4 stars because it is a bit hard to put on, but that's why it works! Pros

Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: If you are looking for nanoparticle free and chemical free, waterproof, and hypoallergenic this is the sunscreen for you. Many other sunscreens use nanotechnology to make the particles so small that they don't look white on your skin. This one looks a little white and takes time to rub in, but it is worth it because of safety for you or your child. It is also very waterproof. Good for kids with eczema or allergy-prone skin. Didn't burn my daughter like many other products. Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: A lot of people have commented that this product is "hard to rub in". True, it is, but that's why it's appropriate for babies less than 6 months while no other sunscreen is. It sits on top of the skin and serves as a kind of "barrier" between the baby's skin and the sun. When your child is under six months, you should avoid the sun, and if you aren't able you should use this kind of sunscreen, not one of the chemical ones (like waterbabies etc). We live in Florida and it's hard to avoid the sun so we have used this product and it has done the trick! When our son reaches six months we might switch, however this product is great for infants. Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: I bought this pricey sunblock for my baby, but I ended up using it. It has very good water resistance. The water beads up when I have this on. Feels sticky/oily and the scent is very strong. The smell is not unpleasant, but I'm worried it will cause a reaction on my baby's skin. I wouldn't use this on my face since I have oily skin. I'm disappointed drugstore.com no longer sells the fragrance-free version. Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: The best. Works great, no chemicals. I love the scent -- it's like lemongrass. Takes a little bit of rubbing in to get the white to go away. Slightly oily/sticky, but better than most. Excellent lasting power in water. I have super fair skin and this stuff has saved me on long river floats. Comments about California Baby Everyday/Year Round Moisturizing Sunscreen, SPF 30, 2.9 oz: We've used this sunscreen since my 3yr-old was born. It's easy to rub in and is odorless (I think some reviews are for the combo sunscreen/bug repellant). I research ingredients to avoid the toxic chemicals that the FDA allows in our products (there's a lot of horrible stuff in our products!). Most sunscreens use ingredients that tested positively for cancer, organ system, developmental and reproductive toxicity, immunotoxicity, contamination, etc. California Baby is the safest waterproof sunscreen on the market-for babies, children AND adults. It has no chemicals, parabens, PABA or fragrance and has mostly organic ingredients. To check safety, go to the EWG website. They provide full product reports, and if your product isn't shown, you can enter the ingredients to get your own report. California Baby rates the best, and for us, there will never be any other sunscreen. Displaying reviews 31-40 ![]() |
