I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old and wanted a sunscreen without dangerous chemicals but one that was strong enough to protect their super-fair skin (after being inside in cold NYC all winter) from the FL sun. I was a little concerned from some of the reviews that it would be pasty thick, but it was creamy and flowed out easily. You have to rub a little more than with chemical sunscreens but the difference isn't at all dramatic and what wouldn't you do for your kids to be safe? We swam a ton and it stayed on. I'm proud to say my kids are as pale as they were when we left! :) One piece of advice - put it on before you dress your kids. It does look pearly white on clothes or rashers or bathing suits. My son is allergic to most sunscreens and has eczema - this sunscreen not only helped clear up his skin, but hasn't caused a reaction. The smell is wonderful! I use it on my face too, and I don't have any acne breakouts like with some sunscreens. However, let me tell you, it is a God send if you are allergic to all other sunscreens. I am highly allergic to sunscreens; however, I am able to use this sunscreen on my children and not worry about swelling up or getting a terrible rash. I use it faithfully on them when they are out in the sun, and they do not get burned. It is wonderful. I have tried the Neutrogena for sensitive skin. It has the same active ingredient as this one; however, the big difference is that the Neutrogena one is not waterproof. It is expensive, but it is worth the price when you are as allergic to sunscreen as I am. It never makes me break out and lasts all day. I was surprised at how thick it is, but a little goes a long way, so it's a good value, even though it seems expensive. In fact, I found if I used too much Id get little white bits on my face, so only use a little! It also has a nice, light citrus scent. Love it, love it. I love that it's non-chemical and smells so great. The tube is perfect for tucking in a diaper bag or purse. It goes on thicker - which is a plus with squirmy little ones. You won't be disappointed!
