I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old and wanted a sunscreen without dangerous chemicals but one that was strong enough to protect their super-fair skin (after being inside in cold NYC all winter) from the FL sun. I was a little concerned from some of the reviews that it would be pasty thick, but it was creamy and flowed out easily. You have to rub a little more than with chemical sunscreens but the difference isn't at all dramatic and what wouldn't you do for your kids to be safe? We swam a ton and it stayed on. I'm proud to say my kids are as pale as they were when we left! :) One piece of advice - put it on before you dress your kids. It does look pearly white on clothes or rashers or bathing suits. It never makes me break out and lasts all day. I was surprised at how thick it is, but a little goes a long way, so it's a good value, even though it seems expensive. In fact, I found if I used too much Id get little white bits on my face, so only use a little! It also has a nice, light citrus scent. Love it, love it.
