My 3-1/2 year old was having another outbreak of cradle cap (not really considered dandruff until they hit puberty) so my local green store recommended this product. After one or two washings, and combing out with a fine tooth comb to remove the flakes, my daughter's scalp is totally clear. Also, the shampoo smells great and a little goes a LONG way. I'm a bargain shopper and for the price, this IS a bargain! Very happy with this product!

For Babies, Kids & Sensitive Adults is what California baby claims. That is also why I bought this product. I have 3 children with very different hair types and want to switch to better all natural products. This did not work on my girls hair at all!(2 & 7) It just left their hair a tangled mess. My son has a crew cut so he was fine. It smells wonderful so I will use it as a bodywash but will not buy again.

I use this with the Calendula Conditioner on a daily basis. The two work well together. I have allergies to most lathering skin care products and fragrance. The shampoo and conditioner were recommended by my dermatologist. I use the shampoo and afterwards use the conditioner as a leave in treatment. For the first week or so my hair was very tangled and felt dry after I washed it. I gently combed it out using a lot of conditioner. After a week my hair became softer and softer. It's now to the point that I don't usually need conditioner. I highly recommend combing through your hair before washing it and slowly reducing the amount of conditioner as your hair becomes more soft and healthy. Stick it out. It's worth it!

It cleared my daughters cradle cap/dandruff in one wash!! After months of trying to get rid of it and even going to the doc where they gave her medicine shampoo to try, but I was too scared to try anything so harsh for my 10 mth old so I bought this to try first and I was blown away when it all started falling out after only one wash. Now my Doc recommends this product to other parents instead of the prescription shampoo!

I use the sunscreen by california baby so I bought the powder, shampoo and conditioner. My 3 year old won't even let me put the powder on because she says it smells like toilet. I have to use a ton of shampoo because it doesn't lather up at all and she has very long hair. These 3 items were expensive, what a waste of money!

I use this on myself and my children. My daughter and son are very sensitive to chemical filled products. It has reduced my daughters eczema and it doesn't burn. She used to complain about other products hurting. I love it because it doesn't strip my hair and my curls aren't weighed down. The low lather does take some getting used but isn't a big issue.

My daughter has extremely sensitive skin and I've always used Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser to wash her head to toe since infancy, but now that she's 2, she's getting a lot dirtier by the end of the long summer days and her hair has gotten a lot thicker. I needed something that would do a better job cleaning and lathering but still remained super gentle on her skin. This does a fantastic job. It's super gentle, lathers well, and even goes the extra step of being calming to her skin. The fragrance is great too. I thought I was destined to use only fragrance free products on my daughter, but this natural scent is really wonderful. I'll definitely be buying more in the future.
Dispense a dime- to quarter-sized amount into palm, massage into wet hair starting at the scalp and working to the ends. Rinse. Repeat if needed. Follow with our hair conditioner or detangler. Use as bodywash in place of regular soap in bath & shower.
