I used this product on my eight-month-old for an entire week vacation in the Caribbean. You do have to really work it in, but my baby liked the massaging so it wasn't a big deal. I didn't apply it at the beach, but before we got there, to make this process easier. If I needed to reapply, which was only a few times, I did it in the car where we also changed his diaper. After a few days of use I did notice some small bumps forming on his forearms, which has to have come from the lotion. They didn't seem to bother him, so I just made sure I washed his arms really well each night and once I stopped using the lotion (after vacation), they cleared right up. I also used the lotion on my face and had no trouble. So I do like the product, it did what it was supposed to--my son had absolutely zero sunburn that week. I think this is insanely expensive. I have seen it in stores since for a little less than what it's being sold for on Drugstore, and that bugs me. That is why I took away one star. I guess I'd buy it again, but only if I don't find something comparable and less expensive. VS Most Liked Negative Review I bought this for my 3 ... I am so disappointed with this sunscreen!! Not only is it so thick that it is difficult to wash off it gave my daughter an awful rash where it was on her face and arms. She also got pink while in the sun for less than 30 minutes. She is very fair and she also looked iridescent from the thick sticky sheen. I was so disappointed I sent California Baby an email. I would never recommend this to anyone. I had better luck with other less expensive products like Aveeno baby sunscreen. Comments about California Baby Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30+, No Fragrance, 2.9 oz: This is the only sunscreen lotion that doesn't irritate my kids' skin. It goes on thick, but it is very effective. I also use it for my sensitive skin, and I have a history of skin cancer. Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about California Baby Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30+, No Fragrance, 2.9 oz: I am an asian with fair skin tone, but I am allergic to sun. Several years ago, my allergy doctor recommended california baby to me. Since then, I've been loyal to their products, the same time I take some allergy medicines in the summer on and off which got me covered basically. I started to apply CA baby stuff to my baby, from diaper wash, cream, sun screen lotion, stick etc, basically from head to toe two years ago. They worked wonderful on my beloved son. However, after running out of my stocked stuff, I purchased newly reformulated, repackaged face cream/lotion and sun screen this month, my baby's face broke out and became swollen in couple of days. It was so horrible that i don't even know what to do. I am not sure what is going on with the new products and i don't even know what to replace them since I've been using them year by year. Comments about California Baby Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30+, No Fragrance, 2.9 oz: Works great for any sun protection - water/sweat/everyday. Not a fan that they have changed their formulations with no alert to consumers, but it is effective and I have not found another "natural" sunscreen I like as much. Pros

Best Uses Comments about California Baby Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30+, No Fragrance, 2.9 oz: This stuff is like putting white-out on your skin. I've tried lotions that have been hard to rub in, but this one has to be the absolute worst. I thought I'd try putting some on a wash cloth and then rub the wash cloth on my skin thinking that would help it go on better -- it totally stained my washcloth. I soaked the cloth in dishwasing detergent and still can't get the stains out. And while it was soaking, a bunch of this gross looking flakey stuff accumulated around the edges of the sink. I have no idea what is in this product, but it took me three soapings to feel like I finally got it off my skin. And they recommend this for babies??? I am astounded at the good reviews it gets. Give me Coppertone over this any day. It's in the garbage. Pros

Comments about California Baby Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30+, No Fragrance, 2.9 oz: I have been using this sunscreen on my son, who has super-sensitive skin, for 5 years. We live in southern California and he has never received a sunburn. It really does last through 80 minutes of swimming or sweaty activity. I have tried MANY other products for sensitive skin, and this is the only one he can tolerate. The only cons to this product are the price and that it is very thick (think Desitin) and difficult to rub in. I am willing to pay the price and put up with the difficult application for the excellent sun protection it provides. Pros

Comments about California Baby Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30+, No Fragrance, 2.9 oz: i use california baby regularly and love it. I bought this hoping my son would not have a rash and he didn't so it was great for my kids. It's waterproof and really protects. When I,with sensitive skin, put it on I broke out. It is heavy so you have to put it on lightly. I began to break out with a week of using it. I really believe it's the titanium dioxide used for sun protection and not the lotion itself. I'd buy for my kids but not for my face Pros

Comments about California Baby Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30+, No Fragrance, 2.9 oz: I bought this to use on my 3 year old as a natural alternative to a regular sunblock. we have gone to the beach every weekend since then and my daughter has a slight healthy tan. I do keep her under the beach umbrella when not in the water so not sure how it would hold up to constant sun exposure but it is only spf 30. She loves to apply it herself (with my assistance). I am very happy with it. Pros
