I've been using the super sensitive wash on my 14-month-old son for about 8 months. I switched from another baby wash when I discovered that he, like his mommy, has sensitive skin, and would benefit from fragrance-free choices. I did quite a lot of research into which products were the safest and most effective, and California Baby Super Sensitive was my final choice.
The wash produces a nice lather, rinses off well and doesn't seem to irritate him, even when soapy water gets into his eyes. I believe it has helped resolve the eczema he had as a smaller baby. The wash leaves him smelling clean but not perfumed, which I also love. Adding to my peace of mind is the fact that this wash gets a "low hazard" safety score, according to the skin deep cosmetic safety database. Many of the more popular brands (even the "natural" brands) do not fare so well! This product is somewhat more expensive than many of the other options, but I have found it to be worth the extra money!

I bought this to use primarily as a shampoo for my seven-year-old twins after reading about the toxins in many other so-called "mild" shampoos. My daughter has very long, thick hair. My son has short hair.
I believe this is a great product to use on sensitive skin as a soap or shampoo. So far, it works fine as a shampoo, but it can be a bit hard to lather. On my daughter, I do have to follow up with a good conditioner as I can't get a comb through her hair otherwise. Seems to be fine for my son's short hair.

I've used California baby on my child for a number of years. After using the "new formula" of this shampoo, my daughter developed a rash on her face. We've used the super sensitive shampoo for years & it was wonderful....until california baby changed the formula of the shampoo. Unfortunately, we can no longer use it because the new formula has harsh ingredients! I would no longer recommend this shampoo for children with sensitive skin.

I could feel while I wash using this product that it is not stripping the natural oils from my skin. This is super important to me as I have had extremely sensitive skin all my life. And finding products that I can use everyday is so difficult. Thank you for developing this line.

My cat is allergic to lots of things so I have been eliminating everything with perfumes. California Baby gets me clean and doesn't make my cat sick. A little goes a long way too. It takes one pump for my bath puff and then another pump for my shampoo.

My son has extremely sensitive skin. I tried several of the other brands like Johnson and Johnson, Aveno, Cetaphil and he still continued to break out. This natural product works the best without irritating the skin. Although I miss the nice baby scent of other brands, this one is still good without a strong scent. You just get a clean baby. I also like this pump style, which makes it easier for bathing. This product lathers up well for a clean feeling and this large size bottle goes a long way...overall it is a good value for your money!

Fantastic product listed as very safe on ewg's Skin Deep website. I have been using it for over a year on my 2 year old who had rashes and allergic reactions to everything else. His skin and eczema have been much better. I am highly allergic as well and use it sometimes. A little expensive but worth it!!

One of very few truly nontoxic shampoos & body washes (read Environmental Working Group's database). Does the job without tons of suds; can use it daily on my sensitive skin without dryness. Gets my hair clean without drying it out. Buy the larger sizes to economize.

This is the only product that I found that my sensitive daughter can use with out cousing skin issues. I love that it has no chemicals or anything else harmful. I have also been using it as a facial cleanser for my own sensitve skin! Love the whole line!

Product is very watered down. I prefer a thicker, gel like, product. The cost is high and there are other products that I find better and priced more reasonable. I purchased this product based on reviews. I do like the pump bottle to dispense the product. I am disappointed with the results. Will not buy again.
