I love this shampoo - I'm an adult with very sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin, all you really need for your hair and body is this shampoo, a silicone-free conditioner, and the oil of your choice to defrizz your hair and moisturize your skin.
I wash my hair with this shampoo about once a week, followed by Burt's Bees conditioner and a few drops of apricot kernel oil to defrizz (no other styling products). I use it every day to wash my body ... no skin irritation, no acne, soft/shiny hair, lovely.
One side note - I saw quite a few people mention that their hair felt "buildupy" after using this shampoo. If that happens, maybe your hair has silicone buildup. This is a very gentle shampoo and I doubt that it's strong enough to remove silicone - but it's also somewhat difficult to find haircare products without silicone. I have a silicone-free haircare routine and this shampoo leaves my hair squeaky clean, so I know it's not the shampoo. Check the ingredients on your conditioner and styling products - anything that ends in -one or -ane is probably silicone. Try getting all of the silicone buildup out with a regular shampoo, then use a silicone-free routine with this shampoo - you might have better luck.
Overall, my skin is extremely happy with this shampoo - no itchiness, no acne, no redness, less dryness. My hair is happy too (but my hair is less much picky than my skin).

I got this because I prefer a natural, fragrance-free baby wash, but this one let me down mostly because its consistency is too liquidy, especially for the high price. You can barely keep it on your hands - it just drips off. Then you end up using it up too fast because you use more in each bath. Good if you need it for really sensitive skin but my kids' skin seems to do OK with other natural body washes (I like Avalon Organic) that have a better consistency, last longer, make more bubbles, etc.

I have a(very)sensitive scalp and alternate this shampoo between a shampoo that was prescribed by my dermatologist (Ketoconazole 2% shampoo. I have a chronic dry scalp and have to be especially selective about shampoos and conditioners I use so when I read about the mild, paraben free ingredients, I immediately wanted to give this a try.
The reason why I am giving this four stars rather than five is because I have not used it long enough- I have used only about a third of the bottle. I will do a follow-up review once I have used the entire bottle of shampoo but I have to say, so far so good!
p.s. I love the "barely there" but clean fragrance!

After switching between other larger brands, I finally sticked with California Baby. I love that I can trust it and not have to worry about the stuff I don't want (chemicals). Absolutely love it.

We use this as a bubble bath, now that my baby is more active in the tub and doesn't always hold still for me to wash him with a cloth. This whole line is great. A little goes a long way, too, so it lasts for a long time. We love it, and will be trying their whole line.

I use this not only for my son, but myself, too. We use it as the whole package for him, and I use it as my daily shampoo. It's gentle. it's washes away with no residue, and really gives my hair that clean feeling. I like to use this particularly on my son when I am washing off sunscreen- because it gets him clean (and we use thicker sunscreens on him)- have recommended to my sister and mom (both adults)- for shampoo and they both love it!! Another reason why we use this is because it has a good rating by the EWG, so you know it's very safe.

This is the only body wash that does not seem to bother my son's sensitive skin. We have been battling eczema and dry skin on him since he was a baby. I started using it when he was a newborn. When we switched to a different "natural" brand, he started getting very dry and irritated skin. So we switched back. Then when he was a toddler I switched again since this product is kind of expensive. He seemed ok for awhile, but this winter his skin started flaring up again. So we have switched back to California Baby and are dilligently moisturizing. The difference was almost instant. We are sold on this product and won't switch again!
