Tip: Wet hair is up to 20% weaker than dry hair; especially after it has been soaked for some time and absorbed the maximum amount of water possible. This is such a great product. My 3 and 5 year old girls swim twice a week and this makes their hair so soft. I am surprised people don't like the smell, we love it. We've been to Hawaii several times and this always reminds me of being there. We've used this after the beach and it always works great. I highly recommend it!

Unlike the label, it does not smell like gardenias. It has an interesting botanical smell that is both sweet and bitter at the same time, almost like a medicinal herb. It is hard to describe but I did not like the smell and don't think I can use this as a leave-in conditioner. Otherwise, it is a thick formula and probably the bottle will last long. I most likely will not buy another bottle unless the distinctive smell grows on me, but at least it is a quality product (no strange chemicals). I am a fan of California Baby products and like their philosophy; I will try a different conditioner next time.

I bought this and the shampoo and hate the smell of both. It smells exactly like citronella candles. It also doesn't do anything great for my daughter's hair. The biggest Pro is the fact that it is very safe to use on children.

We love the Swimmer's products by CA Baby. We use them year round after swimming and even if we don't go to the pool. It doesn't sting my son's eyes if soap/conditioner gets into it.

I bought it b/c both of our girls' hair feels like plastics after swimming. After use the normal amount, their hair still feels aweful. So I use a handful and that still didn't improve. Very disappointed, what a waste of money.

The smell of the Swimmer's Defense shampoo & conditioner are summery, fresh, & perfect for baby (and me too!) Together the shampoo & conditioner make my daughter's hair super soft, glistening, & smelling so good! It has also been the only body wash/shampoo that does not dry out her delicate skin or bother her eyes :)
