I just need more moisture than my pale faced peers, it's that simple. Curly/wavy hair is difficult to tame when you have as much volume as I do. Cantu products weigh my curls down just enough to where they're moisturized but not greasy. I love it! After reading the reviews on this product, I decided to try it for my relaxed hair. After two weeks I saw a decrease in shedding and my edges started to slowly regain thickness and wasn't as sparse looking anymore. I use it to grease my scalp the night before my relaxer and I don't get burned at all, and I've notice that my relaxer comes out much better. I've turned both my sisters and my mom on to this product and they're all happy with the results. Even my stylist has started using it as a base before a relaxer. This product adds a nice shine to your hair. I think the smell is nice but a little over powering once it's applied for the first couple of hours. Of course this leaves a type of film in your hair, nothing that will flake out or is overly greasy or oily. If I run my fingers through my hair I don't feel the need to wash them or dry them off. It feels more like a light moisturizer.

I have noticed a lot of changes in my hair texture. It thicker, fuller and longer. I now use it on my kids hair it also noticed a big change. It's light and not greasy.

Even the consistency has changed. I almost thought I ordered the break cure strengthening treatment. Where the old formula left my hair soft and moisturized, the new formula leaves my hair dry and brittle. And I applied this product to my freshly washed and conditioned hair! I am so DISAPPOINTED it now leaves my hair dry and hard I don't know what the hell happened but I don't like it any more. It used to be cream in colour and now it is white and not as creamy as it used to be. Cantu makers I don't know what the [*] you did with this batch but you better get back to the original formula.

I paid $17.99 for the other item at a salon and it is sitting on the shelf collecting dust. This product is light enough for everyday use and it smoothes my hair down nicely. I love the way it smells. Much better than the fake "rose" smell of the other product. I could have bought 3 of this item for what I paid for the other product and this one works much better. I also bought the super shine hair silk and I love it too.

Unfortunately, the last batch I ordered was completely different than the previous versions. The consistancy was totally different this time. Before this product left my hair soft and moisturized. Now it leaves my hair harder and dryer. I don't know if Cantu sent out a faulty batch but I am really dissapointed with this product. I won't buy online again.

I was sorely disappointed. It even looks different. The new product is white in color whereas the other product was a yellowish in color
