My hair HATES this stuff! I tried it, put it away, tried it again. My hair just does not get along with this stuff. And to top it off, when I use it, the sweet smell ends up making me want to barf. I think I'm going to buy Profectiv again.

I have very thick curly hair that I have to condition daily in order to keep my hair strong and moisturized. This product adds a nice shine to your hair. I think the smell is nice but a little over powering once it's applied for the first couple of hours. Of course this leaves a type of film in your hair, nothing that will flake out or is overly greasy or oily. If I run my fingers through my hair I don't feel the need to wash them or dry them off. It feels more like a light moisturizer.

Yes it Can too promote hair growth. My hair was thin and short. Since using this product. I have noticed a lot of changes in my hair texture. It thicker, fuller and longer. I now use it on my kids hair it also noticed a big change. It's light and not greasy.

Product is very smooth but only use a little at a time. To much use will cause your hair to become very greasy and dull.

I've been purchasing this product (and loving it) for four years and I can definitely say something has changed. Even the consistency has changed. I almost thought I ordered the break cure strengthening treatment. Where the old formula left my hair soft and moisturized, the new formula leaves my hair dry and brittle. And I applied this product to my freshly washed and conditioned hair!

What is more troubling is that even after I added another moisturizer to my hair, it was still dry; almost as if I poured super glue in my hair. Perhaps they added more silicone? Whatever the case, it's enough to warrant Cantu to rename this product. The change was so drastic I don't trust Cantu anymore, which is sad because I loved their products. Now I have to go through the trial and error process of finding replacements.

i used as a pre conditioning treatment before shampooing. added other oils and creams to get the job complete. wasnt as effective as i thought it would be.

I've been using this product for 3 years and it WAS the best but something has changed the product is not the same I don't know what went wrong... I am so DISAPPOINTED it now leaves my hair dry and hard I don't know what the hell happened but I don't like it any more. It used to be cream in colour and now it is white and not as creamy as it used to be. Cantu makers I don't know what the [*] you did with this batch but you better get back to the original formula.

I found this product browsing on the drugstore.com site. I was curious even though I bought a "similar" product a few weeks earlier. I paid $17.99 for the other item at a salon and it is sitting on the shelf collecting dust. This product is light enough for everyday use and it smoothes my hair down nicely. I love the way it smells. Much better than the fake "rose" smell of the other product. I could have bought 3 of this item for what I paid for the other product and this one works much better. I also bought the super shine hair silk and I love it too.

I have been using this product for the past year. Unfortunately, the last batch I ordered was completely different than the previous versions. The consistancy was totally different this time. Before this product left my hair soft and moisturized. Now it leaves my hair harder and dryer. I don't know if Cantu sent out a faulty batch but I am really dissapointed with this product. I won't buy online again.
