Everyone in my family has been having problems with all the name brand soaps recently and the size of the bars has been shrinking while the price has not. However, this is a full 5 oz bar that LASTS and LATHERS and no one has broken out or had flaky skin since switching. It it the only soap we use now. It has a pleasant scent and it cleans while leaving the skin soft but not greasy. It even took all the black grease off my hands after working on my car in one handwashing! We gave a bar to our neighbors and they have since switched over also. VS Most Liked Negative Review I really wanted to like this but... But to be honest, I couldn't get past the smell. It was just plain awful. It reminds me of those cheap little soaps you get when you stay at an economy hotel... yep, just like that. And it was really slippery to hold onto... but the bars do last a while and they do get you clean. My skin also felt really dry afterward... but I have really dry skin so I wasn't to optimistic about that aspect. Thankfully, my husband didn't mind using the soap so it isn't being wasted. Comments about Canus Goat's Milk Rich Moisturizing Pure Vegetable Oil Soap, Original Fragrance: I use this soap for showering or bathing. Regular soap dries my skin out, especially on my legs. In the winter, I used to have alligator skin on my legs. This soap keeps the alligator skin away. Plus it smells really nice. I often get compliments on how good I smell and people ask me what perfume I' wearing...no perfume, it's just my soap! I've used it for years and will never stop using it. I've tried other soaps with goat's milk and none of them work as good as Canus. The only place I don't use it is on my face. I have combination oily/dry skin on my face and use the Alpha Hydrox foaming cleanser on my face. I have dry skin on the rest of my body, so the Canus works great for me, but I can imagine that maybe for someone with oily skin, this soap may be too moisterizing for them and cause breakouts. In the last few years I've noticed small dry patches of skin on my arms and legs. Since I've been using this soap I haven't had any more of those! This is the best soap I've ever used.
