This is an excellent product to improve healing of arthritis pain and muscle injuries. If you workout a lot--buy this product. You'll need it before long--it helps with sore, painful muscles. I use it as well for a compressed disk problem in my upper spine. From time to time I do too many upper body reps and it causes the compression to be worse. This allows muscles to expand and alleviates the pain. Excellent product.

I used this product on the back of my neck and on my shoulders for some muscle pain. Big mistake! Within a matter of minutes, my skin felt like it was on fire! Next thing I know, I look in the mirror and I honestly look as though I have a severe sunburn. Finally I get it washed off and apply Neosoporin with Pain Relief plus I take some Ibuprofen and the pain is barely noticeable within an hour. This stuff not only did not work but it also caused far more pain than what I was suffering with to begin with!

My Mom used this to put on my Grandma(cause her leg hurts).
Then she washed her hands with soap. So then she rubed her eyes it was totally a pain. My grandma also said that her leg feels like hot water poured on it. Bad Choice!

I recommend Capzasin in the stick, but if you want to use the creme, you must wear gloves (as directed) to apply. I didn't, and my hand burned all day.

OK the people that are giving this one star after one usage, finding it burns, and throwing it right in the trash, don't understand how the product works. The first few times you use it yes it burns, but then the part of your body where you applied it gets used to it. I put it on now and it's like putting on hand lotion. There's no burning at all. Also you need to wear gloves when putting this on because even if you wash your hands it stays on your hands and whatever you touch (eyes for example) will become on fire.

I have severe shoulder pain and this is the only thing that helps relive the pain. If you look up how this works online it says that capsaicin depletes substance P, a neurochemical that transmits pain, so then without that neurochemical transmitting pain a persons pain goes away.

No other type of cream does this except ones with capsaicin. This is a great product. Just wear gloves when applying it and after about 3 times of applying it the burn will get less and less until it goes away.

Only arthritis cream I use, but try to wear vinyl gloves when applying otherwise do not rub your eyes.

First of all, the directions say to apply a THIN LAYER. Second, the directions also say DO NOT COVER. Third, if the pain is enough that you're seekiing relief, this willl give it to you. I've been using Capsaisin dirivative creams for years and in every instance, be it a gout attack or my back, I have found that this type of cream is the answer. I started with the regular strength,(i.e. 0.050%) and found I was reapplying it about every two hours. I went to the extra strength,(i.e. 0.075%), and was reapplying it every four hours. I found by accident a Capsasin cream that was higher in concentration than the extra strength. I've been using,(0.1%), and bought a case of it. I've been very happy ever since. It does burn my leg when I put pants on over the area I applied this to, but the relief in the constant aching is worth a little temporary burn. I put it on after my shower,(dry the area well),and then I'm good for the day,(along with Aleve or Advil). I use the Aleve on M-W-F and the Advil on Tu-Th to alternate the bad effects these pills have on my stomach. All in all, when used properly, there's nothing better on the planet than these products. Don't forget to wash your hands right after applying. The active ingedient in these creams is what makes hot peppers hot. They work by overloading the pain receptors in the affected area, thus eliminating the sensation of pain being delivered to the brain. Better than any narcotic and all natural to boot. Can't go wrong here!

I have a herniated disc in my back. Because I work as a caregiver I am constantly bending, lifting, and moving around in tough positions. I haven't been without pain and have had limited range of motion for several months now and have tried every other cream out there along with my daily doses of Aleve. This stuff virtually eliminated the pain and stiffness in two doses!. I use it before work and on lunch and now can do my job with ease. Wonderful stuff! Some tips on use however: apply it with a paper towel, and use sparingly. Also, if it begins to heat up too intensely, use an ice pack over it for a while. And lastly, because it is so strong, if you want to apply it to a large area mix it with some body lotion and use gloves.
