Maybe it was due to all the old furniture that needs to be replaced in my house--my tailbone started hurting on many surfaces. I ordered this cushion and in about a month, I think my coccyx became less sensitive after getting a rest. The design seems fine, but some things annoy me a little. It would benefit greatly from having straps that could hold it in place. I must have a bad way of sitting down, because it often slides forward. I could pick out the thread holding the "handle" (what is it for?)in place and add velcro, resew for my computer seat. But I might just make a new cover. It comes in blue, which to most people is a good choice, but I wish it came in other colors. This cover is fairly easy to remove for cleaning, and after a few months I have noticed a little wear from use and washing, but nothing too bad. The foam cushion is hidden by a fabric inner-cover, but the foam seems to be a standard furniture cushion--not very squishy. I am under 120 lbs and it flattens a little under me. People who are much heavier may need a little more resistance. I think it is a little overpriced for what you get, but if it eleviates some pain, that means a lot! I had a hard time choosing between 3 or 4 stars.
