For me, a sitz bath in the tub is still the best, but this was invaluable especially for the first days after surgery, or when I don't want to take time for a long bath. The water did not drain into the toilet as designed; it dripped over my legs and onto the bathroom floor until the floor was soaked. Overall it was a very uncomfortable and messy experience!
