I freeze them to help avoid the aftertaste and take 2 a couple times a day depending on my stress level, injury, workout level, etc.

It's great to help recovery, reduce inflammation from both workouts and daily stress short term, and it is natural unlike Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen.

Was on time and I was worried that the capsules would be melted together (it was 90 degrees out), but everything involving delivery was great.

Pros:
- no taste when swallowing
- appears to be one of the safest fish oil supplements available for pregnant women
- good for your heart, lowers cholesterol
- may help with depression & bipolar disorder

Cons:
- occasional fishy burps
- when you open the container, there is a strong odor of fish, however, I do not notice the smell when taking the pill by itself
- large pill

Tip: If you get fish burps from this product & it bothers you, or if it makes you nauseous, take the pill before going to bed.

Personally, I hate fish, and am only taking this because I read fish oil is good for depression & for pregnant women. Also, now that I have learned the benefits of fish, I am planning on continuing to take this pill once a day, since I do not eat fish as a part of my diet.

Overall, the benefits far outweigh any cons.

I use this for my dogs (I don't eat fish!) and my rescued Pitty who came to me with severe dandruff and terrible skin/hair turned around in just a couple weeks and now has a gorgeous gleaming coat, and no dandruff to speak of! It's even having an effect on the callouses on her elbows! Love this stuff!

I went to a seminar a few weeks ago and one of the keynote presenters was a research psychiatrist from NYU who is doing some very interesting work on brain chemistry. She said that one of the best things you can do for your brain in terms of preserving its chemical health and slowing brain cell death is to take fish oil. Research indicates that fish oil can help to combat depression and that women who take fish oil during pregnancy are far less likely to have post partum depression. Although her lecture was not on fish oil and was actually on the use of CAT scans in studying brain function, she was very clear and convincing in her support of the benefits of taking fish oil to enhance healthy brain chemistry.
