Began using this after moving from a VERY humid climate to very non-humid state. I do like that it eventually came in a tube since sometimes you can over apply with the jar. I have only had cold soars a few times in my life and this does help. I do use the over-the-counter made for it, but between applications I use it for comfort. Moving back to Florida, I still love it for too much sun. With the jar a little goes a long way.Great Buy!!

I think I've used this consistently since the early 80s. It's great year round, but especially needed during the winter months. It's about the only lip product that doesn't dry out my lips. Watch out for those jars that are hard to open though.

The only thing i have to say about this is that it was screwed on so tight that i had to pry it open with tools. such a hassle getting this thing open.

I have to say that this is an amazing product. At the first slight indication of a possible cold sore, I put this on and I can look forward to it being gone the next morning. I love it!

I don't usually review products (even the great ones), but I had to give Carmex a fresh 5-star rating for 2005. I've tried a number of lip balms, in a variety of price ranges, to stop my lips from peeling and cracking. Nothing worked except prayer and this fantastic product. My lips are soft, comfortable, and able to take lip color evenly. I just ordered 2 more jars and I can't wait to try it on my cuticles, as the other reviewers suggest.

Carmex is my miracle product. Best lip care I've ever come across, and that's just the beginning of its usefulness. I use it to care for my cuticles, on any really dry skin, and on the minor cuts, scrapes and burns I get (once they start to get scabbed over. I find they scar a lot less this way and heal faster). Love it and keep it everywhere. The jar product is better than it is in the tube.

AMAZING PRODUCT! I usually find lip balms (like the tacky ones from Lip Smackers) to lose their form and mush together after a while so I was on the prowl for a soothing lip balm that smelled great, felt awesome, and wasn't in a tube. Well here it is! Carmex, the best thing for your lips! You gotta try some, because it works great as a primer on your lips. Just smooth some on before you apply lipstick or gloss. Or you can use it as a gloss. Just slather some more one. Feels great and tingles!

I love this stuff! It works really quickly to help chapped or cracked lips, and it leaves a nice cooling effect! It's really cheap and lasts forever. I use mine all the time, and so far I've had it 2 years! Highly recommended.
