My husband is actually the one who does the dog bathing in our house. He said that because it was so gentle, it didn't really foam up, so he ended up using more than other soaps. However, I love that the soap is made with all natural ingredients and no icky chemicals. Also, it left my dog's coat so soft and fluffy! Even if you end up using a little more, I'd say it's totally worth it!

I also love the fire hydrant bottle. ;)

Our dog seems to enjoy rolling in disgusting remnants of nature. She is black and white short hair American Bulldog/Shar Pei mix. This shampoo, by far, seems to work the best at getting her clean! It lathers and rinses easily. It leaves a clean shiny coat. There is not an overpowering perfume smell which I prefer. An added plus is the natural ingredients. I will buy this over and over!!!

I was thoroughly impressed with this product!!! It caught my eye because of the shape initially ( lol ) and the "natural" line..then of course I read through and saw all the good reviews and figured I'd try it. I have a long haired orange tabby, Toby James, who isn't a fan of baths, but is well behaved when he gets one..but I never liked the fact that some of the pet shampoos weren't natural, I was using just a tiny drop with them..but when I opened this bottle I saw how clear it was, and it wasn't overpowering at all..I figured I could use a little more!
It was a pleasant smell and the consistency was really good..didn't flow so fast that you waste it..then again my bathroom is kinda cold..haha. I put a little more than a quarters worth and lathered his butt..I mainly give him a bath when he has a litterbox mishap..with all the poop stuck and rubbed in from the little brat rubbing his butt on the floor trying to get the dutybombs "unstuck"..because of his long hair.. TMI? lol..anyway..I had cut the dutybombs off but of course there was the nasty smell and stains..but this products was AMAZING..loved it.it took the stains off and cleaned the area well.
I rinsed with luke warm water and wrapped him up in a towel, and brough him downstairs to finish in front of a heater where he likes to finish up and dry himself! He seemed so happy purring and it wasn't sticky or anything. He dried light and fluffy and I was confident knowing that it was all natural and he wouldn't be ingesting any harmful chemicals!
This products is a definate A+..I'm really glad I found it! I wasn't looking for it..I came across it looking for castor oil for me..haha and the brand is Castor and Pollux so it was a happy mistake! Wow..great job carrying a great product, hope you keep it in stock..I will be telling all my friends!

I have a German Shepard with very sensitive skin. I have tried almost everything out there, and this is the one that works. It helps stop the itching, dry and flaking skin. Also helps to cut down the shedding, especially in the summer. I use the furminator brush, the shampoo, and there is hardly any shedding.
She also loves it, runs around like a puppy after her bath and this is the only shampoo she does this with. As for the smell, there is none, no perfume with suits me fine and she seems to like the no perfume also, doesn't make her sneeze.

I've used this shampoo for 9 years on our big double-coated dogs (German Shepherds and Akita), and we (dogs included) love it so much that I even bring it with me when having them professionally groomed so that the groomer will use it instead of whatever they have in their facility.

Our Akita had very sensitive skin and was prone to hot spots, but she was also active and liked to play very rough-and-tumble, not to mention romp through dirt and mud, so it was important to find a shampoo that would get her clean "head to tail" without irritating her skin.

And I am very sensitive to perfumes -- can't stand 'em, they give me migraines -- so I was thrilled to find this unscented shampoo. This is basically Aveeno for dogs. And seriously, I don't "get" all the reviews complaining that this shampoo isn't scented strongly enough to "cover up" the wet dog smell...if you bathe your dog, your dog will be wet; ergo, s/he will smell like wet dog. And dogs will *always* smell a wee bit doggy -- it's just how they're made. It is how they communicate, in fact...my dogs have seemed confused and unhappy when bathed in scent, until it wears off...

So if you want a perfumey body wash for your dog, look elsewhere. But this is a good, neutral shampoo to keep your dog's coat and skin looking good.

This works great to get rid of the dirt and is moisturizing, leaves the dogs fur soft... but it doesn't have a strong enough scent to cover up the wet dog smell.

This product works wonders on pets with allergies.
I bathe my two Shih Tzus with it,and they have sopped scratching themselves.
This is a creamy shampoo that soaps up fast,and rinses out very well.
It is suppose to be odorless but there is a light smell of oatmeal.
If you have a pet, try this..You'll love it...

The shampoo I used on my Miniature Schnauzer prior to purchasing this product claimed to be gentle and for sensitive skin. Seeking a better alternative, I stumbled upon Castor and Pollux's Head to Tail, with aloe and oatmeal. After reading reviews and researching the ingredients--a very short list, I might add--I took the plunge.

SUCCESS! It's low on fragrance, makes good suds and cleans and rinses well. My puppy's coat is smooth and shiny and after nearly a week, no sign of dandruff.

This is a wonderful product and I will purchase it again!
