The only thing that works better than this (and I've tried everything) is bleach. When you don't want those chemicals around (or are working on a surface that bleach would ruin), this is the best of the bunch.

I have been using this product for years. Our kitchen table chairs (unfortunately) are an ivory color. Not good at all with a 2 yr old and 4 yr old (however, we had bought them before they were born!) Because of the Castor and Pollux - people think we don't let our children sit at the table! I spray my chairs once every 2 days and they look like they're in perfect shape. I even had another little 4 yr old throw up on one of them the other day :( But I didn't have to do anything except wipe the chair off and then spray it with the Castor/Pollux and both the stain AND odor are totally gone.

I have a (large) dog and 3 cats, 1 of which has behavioral problems and consistently urinates on rugs. My husband and I are quite frustruated by this and are sick and tired of urine smell in our house or throwing out rugs. I was pretty excited to recive this in the mail after reading the reviews. Tried the product on a small spot of a shag rug and repeated 2 additional times (as the directions stated that may be necessary). Unfortunately, the smell did not come out and even seemed to intensify a bit. The product itself does have a nice, unoffensive odor but didn't work for me.

My husband and I own five (small) dogs and we've tried most every spray there is. I was given Castor & Pollux Out Spot as part of a gift basket one Christmas and I have never gone back. This stuff seriously works on everything without ruining my rugs and furniture. Every time I use it I'm surprised at how easily it lifts the stain. I also like that it just has a light, barely detectable citrus smell rather than a scent that is heavy (and flowery, like another spray I used once, yuck). It doesn't leave behind any residue. I will be heartbroken if they ever stop making this!

This product worked great for me to remove urine odors on a mattress. I had already cleaned it but the odor still lingered there in the bedroom. This product was easy to use according to the directions. All I did was spray it all over that one side of the mattress and let it dry thoroughly for a couple days. The urine odor is now gone. This product saved me from having to throw out a perfectly good mattress set. Thank you Castor and Pollux and Drugstore.com for creating and selling such a great product. I ordered a second bottle to keep in my pantry.

If my cats have an 'accident' on the upolstery or carpet, this product makes the cleaning easy and fast and removes any odor. It is green and pet friendly as well.

As a caretaker for someone very dear to me in my family, I look for discreet ways to clean (urine) accidents without causing any loss of dignity. I just quickly absorb as much liquid as I can with a towel or a thick bunch of paper towels, then soak the carpet or upholstery with this spray. The scent is very light and does not bother him, and the spray bottle doesn't make any noise! (those who take care of others know this is great for quick discreet cleaning without embarrassing anyone). In the morning, no urine smell and never any irritating chemical smells or fumes. I usually use a wet vac for large spills, but cleaning in front of him with a large noisy machine was a large price for a small spot here and there- this helps him and I feel a lot better, and is easier as well.

I have a kitty that barfs often, and a toddler who is starting to potty train. I have used this product to clean up a mess in the stroller a few times. I use it with my Bissell spot bot for organic carpet messes, instead of using their formula. I spray it directly on the mess, after blotting out and removing what I can, then use hot water in the Bissell tank. Messes come out and no smell is left behind. There are no harsh fumes to set off my allergies, so cleaning up no longer involves getting out my inhaler. Used in this way, it is cheaper than buying bissell's formula, and I feel it does an excellent job.

This is by far the best carpet stain remover I have ever used. I had a mature cat that developed a terrible health problem which involved blood. This was the only product that dealt with the stain left behind from her illness in some cases on stains that had been on the carpet for weeks. Honestly I have used everything commercially available and this is truly the most efficient and effective rpdocut made.
