I use this product as a light moisturizer and sunscreen in the summer when my skin isn't too dry and when I'm not planning on wearing makeup. Base makeup doesn't go on smoothly over this moisturiser.

I like the product very much. It is moisturizing without being greasy. I have extremely sensitive skin and this does not give me any problems.

My dermatologist put me on this, the PM and their moisturizing cream along with some tretinoin cream (prescription) and Clenia (prescription emollient cream) for mild acne and mild rosacea. I've already seen inprovement (after 2 days) which really surprised me. Very nice stuff. It doesn't stink and has a nice texture. It also doesn't leave a white film on the skin which is nice.

My only problem with it is that it has parabens (that's why it's a 4 star rating rather than 5). I wouldn't have tried it because of that except that I decided to follow the doctor's advice even on the OTC part of her regimen. I'm glad I did but I really wish CeraVe would make a paraben free version. I'd be seriously loyal if they did.

If you like Eucerin products you'd probably like this. I usually use Eucerin sunscreen on my face and I would say this sunscreen is a medium weight moisturizer compared to the Eucerin which I would consider on the heavy side.

I decided to try CeraVe Day Moisturizer with SPF (as well as the Nightime version). I've been using it for about 2 weeks. I'm pretty happy with this product. I feel like the hyaluronic acid truly does help plump the skin to minimize the look of wrinkles, something my old moisturizer didn't do. I apply this right after I get out of the shower, do my hair and then by the time I do my makeup, it has adequately absorbed into my skin. It's light yet moisturizing.

I've had a really hard time finding a daytime moisturizer that's both lightweight, non-greasy, absorbs quickly, smells fine, doesn't cause breakouts, and doesn't make my skin red. I'm still on the hunt. My nighttime moisturizer (Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Moisturizer) does all that- but is a bit too heavy under makeup. Unfortunately, CeraVe, while having a great body cream, doesn't make the mark w/ this a.m. lotion for the face. I suspect it's the sunscreen ingredients that break me out, as rarely do nighttime moisturizers give me such an issue. It simply doesn't absorb well- even a half-hour later, it doesn't dry up enough for good makeup application. I couldn't use it more than a couple of days in a row w/o seeing five new blemishes appear- and my skin is flawless, normally. I have normal skin, a little oilier in warm months, a little drier in the cold ones. This, like many before it which didn't work, went in the trash can.

I love that it's a great, protective sunscreen but doesn't make me all pale faced and vampire-looking. And it's still a light moisturizer but softens and keeps away dryness.

This is a dermatologist recommended and works for people with ezcema. Best product that is out in the market today.

After going to the dermatologist and being diagnosed with extra sensitive skin and very mild rosacea, my doctor gave me samples of CeraVe AM to use in the day to build up my skins natural barrier (which was deemed non-existant after being through harsh winter weather and what was ultimately causing the rosacea to flare up and the extreme sensitivity) After the first time putting it on my face looked like the redness was emphasised and my ears felt hot too. I ignored this thinking that it was just me thinking about how I was going to react and stressing out about it since I had used almost 6 lotions before this, including cetaphil and neutrogena sensitive, that caused me to have rashes. After waking up on the 3rd day of using the am lotion, I looked in the mirror and discovered that my face was covered in big red blotches and tiny bumps elsewhere! I really wanted to like this lotion but if you have REALLY REALLY sensitive skin, the spf chemicals can be irritating- my dermatologist actually told me this (no idea why they'd give it to me knowing this!) BUT after applying the normal Cetaphil daily lotion that day the redness and allergic reaction was almost completely gone!!! I would definitely reccomend the normal version of this! It doesn't mean that the AM is a bad product, especially for those looking for spf coverage, just that it might not be as gentle if that is your concern. Good luck with your search!

ALSO- Another great gentle lotion that has minimal ingredients is one called DML. Great for people with mite allergies as well as sensitive skin!
