Comments about CeraVe Suncare Sunscreen Face SPF30, 2.5 oz:

I have never reviewed a sunscreen before but this product was so bad that I felt it was my duty to save anyone else the trouble. First of all the fact that they can get away with putting 'Invisible Zinc' anywhere on the box is amazing. I know they had to have gone through test groups before sending this to the shelves so they know it's not even close to being clear. The other reviewers are dead on...but I ignored them because I really wanted to find an invisible zinc product. Save half the money and go with Banana Boat Natural Reflect. It dries to an "almost" clear finish which I complained about before but I am coming to realize "almost clear" is the best you can do when dealing with physical sunblocks and the much cheaper Banana Boat Natural Reflect wins this contest hands down. This doesn't even come close. I decided to use this on my hands (since it is useless as a face sunblock due to smell and texture) and six hours later when I went to wash my hands, they were still white. It's like painting your face with child's makeup on Halloween and I am not exaggerating. For twice the price of similar drugstore products and the write up on the box I just knew this would be a hit. I was totally wrong. My advice? Don't bother.

Comments about CeraVe Suncare Sunscreen Face SPF30, 2.5 oz:

When I apply this product in the amount required to give the full sun protection it goes on white and remains white regardless of whether I rub it in.

I'd give it zero score but I can't. Other zinc-containing sunscreens rub in completely, or fade quickly, and don't stay white.

Comments about CeraVe Suncare Sunscreen Face SPF30, 2.5 oz:

I agree with the other comment below. It is a good product but when I first put it on I ended up looking like a vampire... nothing wrong with being a vampire, but just looking like one? nah!
(And I just applied a little dab)
Anyway, I think CeraVe products are great but beware, this will make you look very pale. I now mix it with my face cream, maybe not a great idea but less of a mess on my face.

Comments about CeraVe Suncare Sunscreen Face SPF30, 2.5 oz:

First, I love and use many CeraVe products. Nothing has helped my sensitive, blotchy skin as well as CeraVe! So I was very happy to discover the new sun products, particularly the 30 SPF sunscreen for the face. As I usually do with sunscreen, I applied this product liberally all over my face, and was shocked to see that I looked like Casper the Friendly Ghost. In other words, the "invisible zinc" isn't really invisible.

I would have given this 5 stars -- if it weren't for the fact that I had to wipe off much of the product in order to look normal again. (And I still looked paler than usual.) I ended up using more blush and powder bronzer to look less ghostly -- which solved the problem.

On the plus side, the texture isn't greasy, which means you can apply make-up over it more easily. And it contains the regular benefits and healthy skin ingredients found in the other CeraVe lotions.
