Comments about CeraVe Suncare Sunscreen Face SPF50, 2 oz:

This product is good if you're going to the beach or the pool. It didn't work well with makeup on top. It was kind of hard to remove so I'm sure it is effective. It would take too much to use on other parts of your body so I'll use it on my neck and not purchase again.

Having had melanoma last year I've been on the lookout for good sunscreens, and particularly one for my face for daily use. This is the first one I've tried that does not make my face feel greasy when I apply it or later on in the day. I think it rubs is just fine.

Comments about CeraVe Suncare Sunscreen Face SPF50, 2 oz:

I ordered this product because it was highly recommended in People Style Watch magazine as a sunscreen that would be clear on one's face rather than white. For me personally, that was absolutely not true. Not only did it fail to disappear, it was actually whiter than other sunscreens I have used on my face. If the only goal is to protect skin from sun damage, the product is fine. If the goal is to have a natural looking face while wearing it, I highly recommend against ordering it.

Comments about CeraVe Suncare Sunscreen Face SPF50, 2 oz:

I use this sunscreen daily and of the many physical blockers I've tried it is the best for daily use. Despite the invisible claim, it does leave a bit of a white cast even when rubbed in well but not as much as most physical blockers. I combat this by using a small amount of bonne bell gel bronzer over it and before I apply my foundation. As a bonus this sunscreen does double duty as a fairly effective primer. I have oily skin and it helps to keep my makeup in place and looking fresh. I highly recommend it and only knocked off one star because it isn't truly invisible as the name indicates.

I love this stuff. It is NOT too heavy on my face, and it blends in fine. I swear people that claim sunscreens leave a white cast just aren't rubbing them in well enough. It's not that hard. I think this stuff is amazing. I wear it under my makeup.

I agree with the other reviewer that this does leave a noticeable white cast. However, the bigger problem for me is that the dimethicone in this product made it feel very thick and suffocating on my face. It felt like I had applied a layer of vaseline! This product might be ok for skiing in the winter to protect your face from sun and cold wind, but it just does not work in the summer for me. I couldn't stand it had to wash it off right away, and that almost never happens.

I'm a fan of Cerave Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 and was anxious to try the new Face Lotion SPF 50 because it uses only mineral active ingredients (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide). Unfortunately, despite the claim on the label, I did not find it to be "invisible". It didn't absorb well and left a very noticeable whitish/beige cast. I guess I'll have to be sure and use this only on days I'm doing yard work and no one will see me! I'm still giving it three stars because of the excellent sunscreen ingredients.
