I was skeptical since I've tried many products that got great reviews and didn't get great results. However, this one is different. I've been using this for a few days now and it's great. First, it really does get the skin clean and I know this because I always test a facial cleanser by using rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball after using a cleanser. If the cotton ball is clean, then the cleanser has worked. This passed the test. Second, not only has it cleared up the acne I did have, I have not gotten any new acne since I started using it (I have oily, acne prone skin). Not only that, it has helped get rid of the redness that sticks around after a pimple is gone. Now, for the negatives. It does dry my skin a little, so if you have normal skin, it might be pretty drying (I have oily skin). Also, the smell is pretty bad. I don't tend to complain about the scent of a product like this, but this is really, really strong and I even have diminished smell due to severe allergies. It smells like cheap cologne that has sat for a really long time. Blech. If there's an unscented version, I will try that instead. As for the dryness, I use moisturizer anyway, so it's not a problem. It's less drying than any of the acne cleanser/creams that I use.

So I decided to buy this after reading all the good reviews about it on here and I usually have good skin & I don't break out too much but ever since I've been pregnant, it's just the opposite, I guess because of hormones or some jazz, and I have to say that so far, it has worked pretty well. It hasn't dried my skin out right after using it, which is what I was afraid it might do, and I'm not sure if it removes makeup or not because I always just use toner after washing my face anyway, but I usually use Mario Badescu products & I really couldn't afford to wait for the cleanser I usually use from them (which is amazing), so I up & bought this, plus it's a lot cheaper [...]but if you get it at [...], it's sooo much cheaper there than the price it shows on here. It does have an odd smell to it, though.. kinda like the handsoap they use at my hospital but it's nothing unbearable, although I have to say that I hate the pump so very much because I can't seem to get it to stay in the middle of the bottle and still pump, so it's always going to one side or the other. Those are my only 2 complaints.. but if something goes awry with it, I will be back on here saying so.

A gentle cleanser that easily gets off makeup and leaves my skin feeling clean and natural. It's not at all drying or harsh, and I like that it has very little fragrance. I've tried several other brands, but have never found any that I liked as well as this.

I just got this cleanser this morning and Holy Moly it works so good. My skin feels clean without that tight dry feeling. My concern for this wash was that it would make my sensitive skin worse. But when i put it on wow what a difference. I love this and will never try anything else. I just hope it will help my breakouts. I love the fact that the bottle is huge and that it will last a while. My only complaint is that it isn't travel friendly. but other than that its AMAZING!!!

My dermatologist recommended Cetaphil several years ago, and I'm so glad he did- every product that I use from this company is fabulous. This cleanser, in particular, works so well. Some complain that the original Cetaphil doesn't get their skin clean enough- well, this certainly gets your skin clean, without drying you out. My skin NEVER feels tight after I use this. I am extremely acne prone and have sensitive skin, and this product has never exacerbated either problem.

I'm very pleased with this. It cleans well (even takes off waterproof mascara) but doens't leave my skin feeling tight and flaky.

I wanted to purchase the Cetaphil Lotion because I was running low on the product. As usual, for most of us, I was in a hurry and picked up the Cetaphil cleanser for normal to oily skin instead of the lotion. So, I thought I would give it a try and see how it worked. I have used so many cleansers in the past and none really worked like I thought they would. Boy was I in for a big surprise. I could not believe the lather and the smell is wonderful. A very small amount of this product goes a long way. This is the very first facial wash that I know works for me. I have skin that is oily at the t zone and not anywhere else. I would think that any type of skin would benefit from this face wash. It does NOT clog my poreslike everything else has in the past. I know that buying this product was a mistake, but a mistake that worked out to be beneficial for me.
