It hasn't dried my skin out right after using it, which is what I was afraid it might do, and I'm not sure if it removes makeup or not because I always just use toner after washing my face anyway, but I usually use Mario Badescu products & I really couldn't afford to wait for the cleanser I usually use from them (which is amazing), so I up & bought this, plus it's a lot cheaper [...]but if you get it at [...], it's sooo much cheaper there than the price it shows on here. It does have an odd smell to it, though.. kinda like the handsoap they use at my hospital but it's nothing unbearable, although I have to say that I hate the pump so very much because I can't seem to get it to stay in the middle of the bottle and still pump, so it's always going to one side or the other. Those are my only 2 complaints.. but if something goes awry with it, I will be back on here saying so. VS Most Liked Negative Review I really loved this face ... Give it a try and if it won't work, try a regular one. It's very gentle, feels like thick soap and does not remove all the make up (just like every other product), so follow by a toner of your choice. My skin is usually too sensitive for cleaners designed for acne prone skin (I've tried hundreds of different kinds over the years). Cleaners with salicylic acid and other ingredients for acne prone skin dry my skin out too much causing it to break out even more. I love Cetaphil because it cleans my skin without over drying it. I use it morning and night and I have seen a dramatic improvement in my skin. One bottle also lasts a long time (it usually takes me 2-3 months to go through a bottle). I highly recommend Cetaphil. Cetaphil Daily Cleanser for Normal to Oily skin twice daily, Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer in the morning, Differin gel at night, and the best makeup in the entire world "id Bare Minerals" (a bit pricey, but worth every penny). The following week I started getting cystic pimples on my cheeks and around the jaw line, therefore I quit using it. However, on the plus side, it did clear up acne on my forehead and made my pores smaller. I really liked the scent and although it doesn't lather up, it's concentrated so that one doesn't need to pump a lot. Unfortunately, this wasn't the product for my skin. It is basically a straight forward cleanser. No gimmicks or gadgets, just another humdrum cleanser. But I will admit that this product performs pretty well during both summer and winter months because it is so gentle. I won't buy it again because I've already found my true cleanser, but I would recommend this product to anyone suffering from mild to moderate acne because it does not irritate the pre-existing condition. I alternate between this and Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser, depending on the type of day my skin is having. Can be used multiple times a day without over drying. I especially like the handy dispenser which you can lock down for easy travel. I used it in Iraq even!
