I have sensitive, oily / dry skin. I started using this product about 8 mths ago, I no longer have massive shiny oily skin, which I am constantly covering with face powder, it has balanced my skin, along with Witch hazel as an astringent, and a light moisturizer.

I have super sensitive skin and my dermatologist recommended Cetaphil, Phisohex (used to be Phisoderm)or Dove soap. I bought this by mistake thinking that it was the Cetaphil that I had a sample of which turned out to be the Gentle formulation, and I am so happy I did. This works much better then the gentle one. It not only takes off all of my makeup (unlike the Gentle formula one), but my skin feels soft and not tight at all. I will definitely be buying this again.

Removes my make-up without being too drying. I use it in the summer time when it is more humid. I use Gentle Cetaphil in the winter. Cetaphil has worked for me for years and I will continue to use it because it is such a good value.

I love all the Cetaphil products I've tried, but this is my favorite by far. I'm 46 years old, and am at that challenging age when I've got wrinkles AND zits (occasionally). I love that even though this is an oily skin product, it's gentle enough for me to continue to use in the winter and not feel like my skin is over-dried.

I use this product as my AM and PM facial cleanser. Used along with my acne products, it works GREAT! It gives my skin that "squeaky clean" feeling without making it feel dry. It is very fragrant which might be a drawback for some people, but I happen to really love the scent. This cleanser is very similar to a much more expensive one that my esthetician recommended for me. When I could no longer afford the more expensive cleanser, she suggested this one and I'm hooked!

I have went back and forth on this product in the past and I never understood why. I used to think that the whole reason my face would break out was because I was not using the right cleanser, right toner, moisturizer and acne topical cream but after years of experimenting and puting my face through drying benzoyl peroxide and powerful salicylic acid I found out what everyone should know. All of these prducts where making actually harming my skin and making it worst. Our skin is not meant to be put through all these chemical so I set out on finding the right products to clear my skin and repair it.
After I threw out all my bp products and non oil free lotions and cleansers I went through my drawers and found this again. I wanted to use the gentlest products and I believe this is the best for my oily acne-prone skin type.
The only products I use now are this cetaphil cleanser, an oil-free moisturizer that contains no acne medication and every once and a blue moon tea tree oil for spot treatment (but I think I can easily stop using this, it's unnecessary now).
Other than that the only other thing I do is TRY to drink 8 glasses of water (which I did on the first week of this new cleansing and honestly I believe it one of the most important things). I now know water makes a different on your body so at least drink 6 glasses and you will see skin clearing results in a couple of days. TRUST ME it does make a huge difference.
So now my face is clear 95% i have one small pimple on my face because I stopped drinking water for 2 days and ate some greasy chinese food but it is going away alot quickly than it used to before.
The water makes my face brighter and my skin also less red from post acne marks, amazing right. And whatever scars I did have they are disappearing.
I know this sounds scary to leave all your acne products behind but your skin will thank you for it. The minimal, gentler and more natural you can go the better.

I had been using a pricey dept store cleanser (with great results) for years and wanted to cut expenses. My 34 yr old daughter told me about Cetaphil and the companion daily moisture with SPF that she had been using with wonderful results. I had to try it! This product cleans off make-up and mascara with ease and leaves my skin soft. I'm in my mid-50s and get more compliments on my skin using these products than I ever did with the more expense stuff. I just wish I had known about them years ago and could have enjoyed great skin and a heavier wallet all this time!
