Purchased this cleanser after reading good reviews. After using it daily for 3 weeks, my skin becomes smoother and shinny-er. No bad smell and the skin feel clean after wash. Best of all is the price is good for daily use.

This seemed to be working great for me, but a week into using it my skin began peeling as if I had sunburn, and since I was in Florida at the time, I thought maybe it was, so I put on extra sunscreen and usually it goes away in a week. I continued using the product and all my acne disappeared but my skin was peeling even worse, and even worse it hurt. It was probably one of the most painful products I have used. My skin had no acne, but it hurt and there was obvious peeling all over. Maybe if you have more oily skin it would work, but I had never described my skin as dry, until after using this product.

This is so highly fragranced it makes my skin itch and my eyes burn - and I didn't get it in my eyes or use it on my actual eye area. I tried to salvage it by using as a body wash and a hand wash, but it still makes my skin itchy.

I've used this for years. It is not drying but leaves a clean feel to face. I know it's helped with my acne. Will use this product as long as they make it.

I actually bought this by mistake- I meant to purchase the original gentle skin cleanser for sensitive skin,not the one for oily skin.
I was expecting the milky non-foaming cleanser. This one is different, it is a clear liquid that does foam and of course has different ingredients.
I prefer the original but I have sensitive skin and this made my face burn a bit, so I gave it away.
Be aware if you have sensitive skin, you want the other cetaphil cleanser.

This is a great product. It removes make-up and oil residue from my face. It does not dry it out either BUT I am allergic to some fragrances and I have to say that the fragrance on this produtct is WAY TOO overpowering. Next time I am buying the Gentle Cleanser formula instead since it is fragrance free. Note to the maker of this product: Please make the same formula without any fragrance or with a least overpowering one. Thank you!

I've used this product morning and night for years to wash my face. It removes makeup & oil really well without stripping your skin. As I've aged and my skin has gotten less oily, I've started using it just in the hot & humid summer, when my face has the most oil. During winter & at night, I use the gentler formula of this product. Alternating these Cetaphil products keeps my skin clean, soft, without oily shine, but not itchy or tight, either. Great value & wouldn't be without it.

I received a sample of this from a physician that specializes in facials and cosmetic procedures. Tried it and loved it! Not expensive like many of the facial products that are offered at doctors offices.

I have combination skin- oily T zone and subject to the monthly breakout. My skin has been remarkably improved since using Cetaphil. I love it so much that I think I am in about my fifth year! I have tried most every drugstore and department store brand, but I am never leaving Cetaphil again. Please note that if you have oily skin and accidentally purchase the dry skin version you will not like it! This clear gel cleanser for normal/oily is vastly different. It's inexpensive, it's gentle, it works great for combination skin. Try it!
