I was a little bit disappointed because it does use some of the newer chemical sunscreens, in addition to the tried-and-true titanium dioxide. This where the trade off is: newer chemical sunscreens have debatable adverse health effects and/or degrade in the sun, however the old- fashioned physical sunblockers like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide both tend to have a "whitening" effect. I think that this is something of a compromise. If you rub it thoroughly right after you wash your face and allow it to settle in to your skin, it has minimal white color. I might keep shopping around but I may just end up back with this one. VS Most Liked Negative Review Not Too Crazy About It I use Cetaphil moisturizers as part of my acne regimen, and I picked this up recently when my local retailer was out of my usual stuff. I suppose it would work well as "just" a sunblock, but after letting it soak in for 15-20 minutes, I tried to apply a light coat of foundation to my skin to cover the blotchiness of my acne-prone face. All it did was smear and look terrible over this moisturizer. I ended up re-washing my face and going without moisturizer until a new order of my regular stuff arrives in the mail. It is way too heavy and thick. I might try applying it on top of make-up if I was going to be out in the sun all day and/or at the beach without caring what I looked like, but this is definitely going in the closet for as-needed use. I don't recommend it for someone who dislikes heavy creams on their face. REVIEWS Reviewed by 51 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » 5/18/2013 Very good with one drawback Pros

Comments about Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for All Skin Types, SPF 50, 1.7 oz: Very good product that gives great sun exposure protection. Works great on face, neck, hands and arms. A little thick because it has 50 sunblock. I feel it makes my skin look pail. This is a good product to use that provides sun protection and also moisturizers. Cons Best Uses Comments about Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for All Skin Types, SPF 50, 1.7 oz: I would not recommend this to any one with sensitive skin. I was looking for a moisturizer with high spf and figured cetaphil had a good reputation but this burnt my skin. My skin was very raw and red after just a couple of uses and took a good week to get my skin back to normal. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? I routinely use several Cetaphil products with good results. However, this product gave me a LOT of problems. Upon receipt, I applied it to my hands and lower arms in the afternoon just to try it out (I stayed indoors all day). Later I had awful problems with my sinuses, and I took two different allergy meds, which did not help at all. The next morning I woke up with an awful rash everywhere I'd applied this product. Obviously, a moisturizer and a sunscreen moisturizer aren't the same thing, as the latter has a lot more unusual ingredients. So, if you're prone to allergies you may want to avoid this product or just test it first on a small area. Thanks for reading my review. Best Uses Comments about Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for All Skin Types, SPF 50, 1.7 oz: I'm a big fan of Cetaphil products, and I know this does a good job of protecting & moisturizing my skin, but in the summertime the last thing I need is something that feels wet and greasy! I wish this dried to a matte finish, but I found myself blotting my face with tissue just ot stay comfortable. Frankly, I'm going with Neutrogena Sunblock during the day, and moisturizing at night. Cons Best Uses Comments about Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for All Skin Types, SPF 50, 1.7 oz: Great sun block lotion! was recommended by my friend, used it on my Spain trip and daily afterwards. It feels light, non-greasy. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 7/1/2012 A bit too oily looking Pros

Best Uses Comments about Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for All Skin Types, SPF 50, 1.7 oz: Use sparingly at first. You'll be surprised at how little you need. I don't wear make-up, so with no cover-up, the shine it leaves on my face is annoying. It's hard to find a product specifically for UV coverage for the face only. So, I would recommend it only because of that fact. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for All Skin Types, SPF 50, 1.7 oz: I only use this as a moisterizer sunscreen during spring/summer weekends. This product makes my skin look so good after a couple of days. I do not wear a lot of makeup with it, I find the lotion tones down my redness. I do not wear during the week because I am mostly indoors. Not a good moisturizer if you are also wearing foundation makeup, it would be too heavy. The sunscreen works great. Comments about Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for All Skin Types, SPF 50, 1.7 oz: I have tried many SPF products since a round of golf last about 4 hours. Most products caused more sweating, smelled bad or just didn't last long enough. This product is golden. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for All Skin Types, SPF 50, 1.7 oz: Ever since I started dealing with a mild form of eczema I started using almost everything from cetaphil. I like this 50spf moisturizer it is easy to apply and moisturizes my face nicely. As for the white film all I can say is that I started using sunscreen everyday in my early 20's most of them had tititanium dioxide and zinc oxide in them that would cause a white film ( that nobody noticed btw) and I am in my mid 40's now with no sun damage or wrinkles created by the sun. In fact I wish cetaphil would focus on titanium dioxide and zinc oxide only in their sunscreen as these ingredient are more natural. I will take a white film any day (which can be covered with make- up) over any chemical filled sunscreen or prune alligator skin. One con though, why oh why is this little tub so expensive we are dealing with a recession here. Comments about Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer for All Skin Types, SPF 50, 1.7 oz: This moisturizer feels good on skin, but when you apply it, it is very difficult to rub in. Your skin has a white tint like sunscreen that has not been rubbed in on a child at the beach. I have extremely fair skin and my face looks like I have white makeup on. Too bad.
