I have tried over 100 sunscreens in an attempt to find one that I can slap on in the morning and forget about 'til I wash it off. My sensitive, acne- and clog-prone skin would not allow me to do this; it was either a sunscreen would break me out, clog me up, or cause reactions that sometimes needed medical intervention. Not so with this! It goes on light as a feather, sinks in quickly, and hasn't caused any breakouts or reactions. The finish is a lovely satin matte, so my skin looks totally natural, not shiny and not dry. If you are expecting ANY product to hold back oil all day, you are setting yourself up for disappointment, but this sunscreen did keep me shine-free for about 5 hours with just a dusting of powder over it. Because it is not water-resistant, I would not recommend this for swimming/beach sunscreen, but for everyday wear, it is a winner! As with any chemical sunscreen, it is going to have a certain smell, but it fades immediately on me (if yours is lingering, contact the company, as it is probably a bad bottle). Works great under makeup (though be careful to check any SPF ingredients in your makeup; if it contains octinoxate, skip it while using this sunscreen, as it will deactivate the avobenzone) too. The price is a steal for a four ounce bottle! So glad to have found this!

I'm rather disappointed given, after using the same brand of oil control wash, I assumed this would also provide oil control WHILE ALSO protecting me from the sun's rays. So far the sunscreen aspect seems fine - though it's just a bunch of chemical blockers instead of physical ones like zinc or titaniam oxide. Which you could pay half as much for nearly twice the amount of ounces you get in this. I specifically got it for the oil control/acne prone skin. I've battled acne prone, sensitive, photosensitive, oily skin for over 20 years now. I'm beyond sick and tired of the lip service and promises companies make, using the same ingredients other products use and slap a heavier price tag on it because it's meant for acne prone people like me. Which, if it worked, would be fine, but it doesn't. Everything I use is oil free, oil control, etc. I decided to incorporate this in some vain hope it would tackle my oiliness. Nope. Zit (I mean zip). Within an hour of application I'm just as oily as if I'd not put anything on at all or put on a regular sunscreen. If you want an overpriced sunscreen made with chemical blockers be my guest. I could have seen passed it had it done something about the oil. It didn't. Don't market it as an oil control when it doesn't. The oil control wash they make seems to work great. The follow up lotion (which is more expensive) leaves much to be desired.

Comments about Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30, 4 fl oz:

I use this as my daily moisturizer + SPF. So far, mild complaints. Not a huge fan of the scent (smells too SPFy for me), but otherwise it's fine. Seems to soak in easily and is fine under makeup. Now that it's getting hot again we'll get a good test - I get greasy and slick when it gets humid and hot. Today was a pretty hot/humid day and it seemed to keep things in check. If it keep on keeping me relatively matte, I will probably keep buying it. Reasonable price, too!

I use it in the morning right after I wash and exfoliate, my skin doesn't feel moisturiser or oil-free, it feels greasy but in an acceptable way coz I have a very oily skin and I know how oily it can get.

Comments about Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30, 4 fl oz:

Thank you, Cetaphil, for being the first to make a broad spectrum spf matte moisturizer for oily skin! I've tried so many different things and they either feel like a heavy mask and clog pores or don't offer enough sun protection. I tend to get milia, which seems to be exacerbated by spfs, but this doesn't have that effect. As for total mattification, it's too early in the year yet to tell if this can fend off the humid subtropical fun of the city I live in, so we shall see! Meanwhile, bravo Cetaphil.

I have very oily skin and every moisturizer with SPF that I've tried before has made my skin more oily and in some cases, has caused breakouts. I'm concerned about protecting my skin but usually avoid moisturizers with sunscreen because of the extreme shine factor. I've had no issues with this product and am stoked about how light it is. It does a good job of controlling oil--I am in love!

This is an easy to use moisturizer. We all know that our faces need extra moisture and this no-frills, easy to use, moisturizer with sun protection is as good as any other I've used for my oily skin. It absorbs quickly and offers the daily sun protection that I need.

I had to apply twice for my skin to feel moisturized, then after a few minutes it was so greasy. My dermatologist recommended CeraVe AM SPF 30 and it's perfect! I'm sticking with that.

This seems to help control my oily skin when I use it with the regular Cetaphil facial cleanser. It doesn't completely eliminate it, but it doesn't claim to do that, it's just wishful thinking on my part. It is lightweight and doesn't make my acne prone skin break out.

First of all this product is: AMAZING!!!
I can't even explain how happy I was with this product. I was worried with the SPF it might break me out, or even worser it wouldnt actually protect my face.

But, to my surpise, I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS PRODUCT! I had ZERO break outs from it. AND IT WORKED!
I've been using it for about 2 weeks and liked it. Two days ago i went to the beach (scine it was 87 degress here in march!) and just wore this on my face and no sublock on my body. I wanted to see if the SPF was actually effective. When I got home i had slight color on my face and rest of my body was burnt! I was amazed how well it help up all day and protected my face. And I wasn't shiney all over my t-zone either!

This is a must have product. I can't say it enough! I will be using this every time im out in the sun. PLEASE come out with a body SPF in a big bottle!!

Every moisturizer I use make my skin oily, and so I decided to try the new Cetaphil line "Derma". The cleanser did not dissapoint me, but this [$] moisturizer I found to work no better then other products I've tried. I will be returning the moisturizer if possible.
