I picked up cetaphil and after a week of using it day and night I was amazed. My skin has cleared up and I no longer have dry patches or an oily Tzone. I believe most people develop bad acne after using so much stuff on their skin. Good thing it regenerates. VS Most Liked Negative Review Huge disappointment, harsh! I needed a cleanser that would be gentle, remove makeup and not dry out my skin. I use Differin prescription product on my skin, and since Cetaphil is made by the same manufacturer, and I had heard good things about how gentle it is, I thought I'd give it a try. I was deeply disappointed. REVIEWS Reviewed by 389 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » 5/10/2013 Dried out my face. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl oz: This stuff worked well for me when I was in my 20's. Mind you I never wore make-up and was unable to put any cream on my face or I would end up with tons of pimples. Back then it did not remove the few acne that I had but it did make my face look and feel soft. Now fast forward I am in my 40's and have been on a crusade for the right make-up remover. ( foundation etc) So I decided to try this one again. While in the shower I applied it generously to my face and removed my make-up with a wash cloth. I don't like those foaming cleanser that just suck all the moisture from your face. Strangely enough this gentle Cetaphil dried out my skin completely. I will not buy this again. And it the meantime I discovered Dickinson's Witch hazel gentle face wash and the pore perfecting toner. It's more natural, does not dry out my skin and takes care of my adult acne and other stuff. Sorry cetaphil but you are just too much filled with drying chemicals. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl oz: Even at age 55 I still get acne. Most of it has to do with oily skin and clogged pores. I do a soft face wash with Cetaphyl in the morning and evening. I wake up to no red spots. I also apply my Badger Balm Damascus Rose face/body oils. I make sure I gently apply the body oil to my neck and chest area. I apply their Beauty Balm to my crows feet and hands. These two product lines work together to keep my skin clear and supple. Comments about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl oz: First used Cetaphil in 1988. It's great for camping because you can just wipe off with a tissue instead of splashing off with water. People ask what I use for facial products, so I must be doing something right! Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl oz: A really good product, especially for everyday use. Doesn't irriate skin, no scent; I don't feel like one pump does enough to cleanse skin, but that might just be me (two pumps works great). Best Uses Comments about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl oz: This cleanser did not remove any of my makeup. I had used the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser in the past & liked it, so I thought I would try the Gentle Skin version. I would use it then wash my face off three separate times during my routine and still I would have makeup on my eyes & skin. When I would apply my toner with a cotton ball, the cotton would show quit a lot of makeup on it. I will just stick to Olay & Neutrogena. Best Uses Comments about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl oz: I use cetaphil's gentle cleanser for morning washes. It doesnt have the harshness of soap. The texture is fabulous and has no smell whatsoever. It's as pure as it gets. This is not a makeup remover, and I also don't use it to clean off sunblock. I use other cleansers for night wash. But for mornings when only the gentlest cleanser is necessary, cetaphil is the go to product. If you're looking for a similar product that cleans makeup, I suggest cetaphil's antibacterial bar soap. It gets out all the stuff the gentle cleanser does not remove. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Cons Best Uses Comments about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl oz: My dermatologist recommended this for my elderly but still oily skin. I have always tried for that squeaky clean feeling, which apparently is too harsh, but have trouble getting used to this gentle cleaning. Comments about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl oz: I have very sensitive skin. This product does not irritate my skin. I do have to scrub with a sponge when using it because it will not remove my make up with just using fingers. Comments about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl oz: This product was recommended by my doctor as I have very sensitive skin. I'm not sure it is the product or I got a bottle whereby the product was not up to standard. It is very runny and as a result a lot of waste each time I use it. At this rate I'll run out of it very soon. I'll try buying this at my local drug store.
