I've paid ridiculous amounts of money for "state-of-the-art" eye creams...Read complete review If you're like me, you'd rather be a prune than pay $50+ for the standard .5 oz of eye cream. I've paid ridiculous amounts of money for "state-of-the-art" eye creams, but, for me, nothing makes the skin around my eyes look and feel better than Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Eye Creams usually come in tiny little tubes, or teeny little pump bottles, and they cost so much I feel guilty using even a drop. (If I ever saw significant results from using exhorbitantly priced products, I wouldn't feel bad, but I can't say this ever happened.) At night, to assist my skin's processes, I use exfoliating and/or antioxidant treatments around my eyes. After they're absorbed, I seal them in, and ensure the protection of my moisture barrier by applying Cetaphil Cream. It smooths and plumps lines, and it makes my skin feel like silk. It's never, ever irritated the skin around my eyes, nor has it ever caused my eyes to be red and puffy in the morning. I use it immediately after my shower as well. Even though it's thick, it's an excellent day cream. I don't want to risk damage to my moisture barrier, and I'm confident in the protection from Cetaphil. This is great under concealer, helping it to last longer, and keeping it from coagulating in wrinkles. Depending upon my skin's needs, I use it in conjunction with sunscreen, treatment serums, foundation primers, and even beneath powder mineral foundation (after the Cetaphil is absorbed, of course.) It's really marvelous stuff. At age 44, I admit my skin really does look good. I think many people will be very satisfied with the results from using this cream; and you can't beat the price! I truly recommend giving this product a try. Even if it's not the best eye cream for you, it's an exceptionally good hand cream, (soothes "gardener's hands), body cream, neck cream, and it's even terrific for healing diaper rash (for my daughter...I'm not there, yet...) My skin get so chapped in the winter months that my knuckles almost look blue. One day, I decided to try a squeeze of her Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream and, almost immediately, my hands were hydrated, smooth, and soothed. I was a bit skeptical of its long-term effects, but after a couple days of hand washing after that one-time use, the smoothness remained. I immediately ordered a 3 oz. tube of my own and my hands have never been the same. Best product I've ever used on my hands! Was this review helpful? This is the only non-reactionary product that supplies real moisture. After coming out of the shower, I spread the cream around on my fingers and then just pat them against my face, transferring a thin film of cream. I've bought expensive moisturizers and often they don't do enough, or they are so greasy I feel like I've smeared my face with butter. This product is not super expensive, but it moisturizes deeply without turning your face (or other body parts) into an oil slick.
