When I saw the tiny scoop and the claim of 80 loads of laundry/container, I was skeptical. However, I followed the instructions and that first load of laundry came out clean & fresh. This product lasts forever and somehow a small quantity deep cleans better than any other laundry detergent I've used, from major brands to upscale, "natural" products, whether liquid or powder.

I am not sure why there are some negative comments on this product. This is the best laundry soap I have used. It gets my mechanic husband's greasy work pants clean. No smells (i'm highly allergic to a lot of fragrances) and my clothes are clean. As far as whites getting dingy by another commenter - I continue to use my bleach with Charlie's and my whites come out white. Maybe the issue is more their water and not the detergent.

My husband works in a machine shop and comes home with greasy pants most days. This product works in getting the grease out in just one wash. I don't even have to use the "heavy soil" cycle on my washing machine.
I love how the detergent can handle his dirty work clothes as well as my "unmentionables" and everything comes out soft & clean. There isn't any lingering scent but I tend to dry on the clothesline so it doesn't bother me.
This is just good simple detergent for all your laundry needs.

I have a lap dog who when she sits on my lap it gets dirty, very dirty. This soap did not remove even half the dirt. will not buy again

I use Charlie's Soap for all my laundry! We have used this for over a year now and I could not live without it! My Daughter and her 1 1/2 year old son live with us and this detergent really keeps our clothes clean and like new. I love that there is not any build up in our clothes, no irritations from residue. I use this on my sheets as well. I am a self proclaimed linen snob and never use fabric softeners on our sheets, they always come out fresh and clean! It is super economical as well! One tub lasts us for months running a least 5 or 6 loads a week. This is an awesome product and I am so glad I found it. If you are on the edge, try it, give it a couple weeks to get all the old nasty residue out of your clothes and then you will notice everything is softer, nicer, cleaner and fresher than before with those regular store brands. Cannot recommend this enough!

just a little can wash a heavy load of clothes and super powerful. loved it, I think I will keep this one as my to go detergent from now on.

As with some other 'natural' laundry detergents, this seemed great at first, but the negatives became apparent over time. Whites stared to look dingy, colors faded, clothes start to smell, didn't clean that well. I do like the packaging but that is about it.

The family and I love this soap...! Our clothes come out smelling nice, fresh and cleaned. We pretreat spots with the Charlie's laundry spray. Because of living in a dry desert climate, we find that using a green brand of safe unscented dryer sheets will help to reduce the static cling.

Charlie's cleans the build up that others detergents leave behind. Also, my HE washer doesn't smell like mildew when I use Charlie's. I love this product!
