I've used cheaper one ply brands for years, and recently tried Charmin Ultra Strong; Charmin's ads do not lie, you do use much less. The paper is strong but soft, and does all the right things. I live in a large urban setting where we have city sewers, so the paper is not an issue; a friend mentioned that this product is not so great for septic systems.
Anyway, I have a new toilet paper, and the price is actually less than larger one ply rolls. Yay!

This is the only bathroom tissue that I have found that does not have strong perfumes, dyes, or irritating substances. It also does not leave as many "remnants" as other toilet paper. This is the only brand I plan to use for me and my family.

We have used this toilet paper regularly for many years. I typically shop for things like this at our wholesale store (i.e., [...] , etc.), but they don't carry it. So, although I prefer to shop locally, I ordered it through drugstore.com because it was a great bargain.

When I read the reviews n this toilet paper I was skeptical but thought I would try it anyway. It's alway annoyed me how fast TP runs out even when the package says it lasts longer. Well this toilet paper ACTUALLY DOES LAST LONGER! It's thick and sturdy so a little goes a long way - if you know what I mean! I have even found myself rolling the roll backwards because I do not need as much as with other brands. I definitely recommend this product and as I write I still can't believe I'm writing a review for toilet paper but... it's that good!

This is a great bargain on a really great bathroom tissue. This is strong, and cloth-like to the touch. A little goes a long way, and no little bits of fluff left behind.

This really is as close to cloth as you will find.
