I decided I would give Cheer a try, picked the "Fresh Clean" scent, and fell in love with it from the start. I have a portable washer and you don't have to use but a little baby capful of Cheer for it to work. My washer makes so many suds and it works great, esp. with Cheer. I hadn't used Cheer for years b/c it was too expensive. I decided to try it again regardless of the price to get my laundry smelling clean. Unfortunately it didn't make it smell any cleaner than the Purex and Arm & Hammer brands that I was previously using. I had to go through my laundry and remove all of the items(which was most of it) that still didn't smell clean; and rewash them. I had already used more than the regular amount of detergent the first time around. We are not smokers and our children don't do mud and stains, it was just normal laundry but didn't get cleaned with this product. I would guess that Cheer has gone cheap on its ingredients in order to make money for its stock holders...you've lost me again as a buyer of your product. I won't be coming back, b/c you are still too expensive and now you don't get our clothes clean. what a waste of my money. With a full load, I find myself using about 1/3 to 1/2 less than the bargain brands. When I wash and dry the laundry, my whole condo smells like Cheer! I have always seen this product in the laundry room and my family continues to use Cheer. One of the best products out there for your clothes! I like the scent but miss the old scent of liquid Cheer. With the old scent, your clothes smelled so fresh out of the dryer. It's almost undetectable with the current scent. I won't stop using Cheer but wish they would bring the old scent back. There are a lot of detergents that get clothes clean, but I preferred Cheer because it seemed to be gentle and effective, but mostly because it didn't have an overpowering scent to compete with perfumes and colognes. I also preferred the powder to the liquid. I have washed one load of towels with the new, liquid Cheer and am disappointed with the "fresh scent". I find the new scent too pungent and overpowering. I can smell the washed towels even when I walk past the closed linen closet. The smell has transferred to my sheets just by being in the same closet. I dried off with one of those towels after my shower this morning and I can still smell the fragrance on my skin. Please spare my nose and bring back the previous "clean" scent.
