This lip balm is very effective, however I could not get over the bad taste of it. My husband even complained about the taste every time he kissed me. Also, there seems to be an ingredient in it that my body didn't agree with. Every time I used it, something in it would irritate my asthma and cause me to cough within seconds of applying it. I'm disappointed to say that I won't be buying it again. It isn't horrible, but it could be much better. It doesn't last very long (and I don't lick my lips). It might just be a preference thing; I like lip balms that are the perfect balance of being rich and creamy without being too thick, so I like my lips to be "slippery" for a long time. It could also be a climate thing; I live in Denver so the air is very dry up here. My lips get dry much quicker with this lip balm than with others. It also reminds me of cough drops; I'm not fond of the smell, though it's not overpowering. It went on very nicely, but after about 3 seconds, it filled my mouth with a disgusting aroma and then taste. I had to immediately clean it off. It was so awful, I felt like I was being poisoned! I use it before bed each night and it has made my lips very soft. My husband carries it in his pocket and applies it often. He of course had to show off his gift and has shared many laughs. Pros

Im not sure what kind of balm the other reviewers are used to (lip smackers?) because I didn't lick mine and it didn't leave a nasty taste in my mouth.. the scent disappeared pretty quickly.. and after it had 'worn off' my lips were still soft and smooth. I would definitely buy it again and plan on buying more for gifts! Pros

My lips are very sensitive and tend to peel and "shred" when I use lipstick, or anything with a tint to it, so I'm always looking for basic, quality lip moisturizer. This stuff goes on great, keeps my lips smooth and healthy, and isn't crazy expensive. I haven't noticed a taste one way or the other, nor a smell. I've never had a problem with the quality of this product, and would recommend it again and again. Pros
