I was looking for a good lip balm that was all natural and when I saw the funky name, my curiosity got the best of me and I just had to try it. This lip balm is very effective, however I could not get over the bad taste of it. My husband even complained about the taste every time he kissed me. Also, there seems to be an ingredient in it that my body didn't agree with. Every time I used it, something in it would irritate my asthma and cause me to cough within seconds of applying it. I switched to Aubrey Organics Lip Balm and absolutely love it.

I really like the name and it got good reviews, so I decided to try it (plus, it was buy one, get one free). I'm disappointed to say that I won't be buying it again. It isn't horrible, but it could be much better. It doesn't last very long (and I don't lick my lips). It might just be a preference thing; I like lip balms that are the perfect balance of being rich and creamy without being too thick, so I like my lips to be "slippery" for a long time. It could also be a climate thing; I live in Denver so the air is very dry up here. My lips get dry much quicker with this lip balm than with others. It also reminds me of cough drops; I'm not fond of the smell, though it's not overpowering. I will finish out both tubes but I won't be buying it again. :(

Comments about Chicken Poop Free Range Chicken Poop Lip Balm, 1 ea:

I'm picky when it comes to lip balms, and for years I've only worn Burt's Bees. I purchased this balm for a hilarious gift for my brother, who has very simple needs and quirky taste. I figured "chicken poop" was manly enough that he might actually wear it. ;)

Since this product isn't for myself I can't say what it feels or tastes like (the only reason I couldn't give it more than 3 stars), but I did take off the cap to smell it and liked the scent. (I do wonder if my brother will, since it does seem to have a distinct lavender scent to it.)

What's interesting is that since I purchased this product on this site I have heard at least three rave reviews about it from other unrelated sources. I love the story of the company and the name of the balm, and I hope my brother likes it.

Love this stuff. It wears a lot like chapstick but the ingredients are all natural. Hope they never stop making it, because it's my favorite and I use it every day. Keeps my lips soft, has a very mild smell (like olive oil), and is the perfect consistency, like room temperature butter. Not too runny or 'melty' and not too hard and waxy.

Can't find it in local stores any more, so I was excited to find it available here, and free shipping too! Can't beat that deal!

            Service and delivery comments:

Came fast, and free shipping from drugstore.com. Will definitely order again when I run out. :)

I am really disappointed with this product! I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 only because I think the name is hilarious & I like how it glides on easily but other than that, it tasted so bad that my hubby & I just couldn't keep it on our lips! The smell (medicinal like) isn't as bad as the taste. If the manufacturer changes the taste, I would be willing to try the product again but in the meantime, glad it was cheap because it was only good for a good laugh!

I made that mistake and then found that the things turn into an unusable sort of glue stick, that cannot be used for lip balm or glue. VERY disappointed.

I use lip balm several times a day and I like the way it goes on and feels. With a name like that I was curious...it must be a good product if they had the confidence to call it that! Someone earlier commented that it smelled bad. If you don't like lavender that might be it. I love lavender but it has a very distinctive fragrance. I also like the simple list of ingredients - I don't like chemicals in a lip balm.
