This lip balm is very effective, however I could not get over the bad taste of it. My husband even complained about the taste every time he kissed me. Also, there seems to be an ingredient in it that my body didn't agree with. Every time I used it, something in it would irritate my asthma and cause me to cough within seconds of applying it. I'm disappointed to say that I won't be buying it again. It isn't horrible, but it could be much better. It doesn't last very long (and I don't lick my lips). It might just be a preference thing; I like lip balms that are the perfect balance of being rich and creamy without being too thick, so I like my lips to be "slippery" for a long time. It could also be a climate thing; I live in Denver so the air is very dry up here. My lips get dry much quicker with this lip balm than with others. It also reminds me of cough drops; I'm not fond of the smell, though it's not overpowering. I'd give it some stars, as it does an ok job of moisturizing and has natural ingredients. Would not buy again due to not being a fan of the smell. Soapy citrus is a good way to describe the smell/taste. Smell is all a matter of preference, so some might like it. For the price, try it and see for yourself if you think the name is as funny as I did. If you are funny about smells, not the product for you. I also bought one for myself, but I didn't care for it. I can't stand the smell, taste or texture of it. At first, the taste was a little odd, seeing as lavender is not often used as a flavor, however, it was not disagreeable or even that noticeable. I like the texture of it too. It reminds me of facial scrub (but for your lips), and seems to really condition your lips. I strongly recommend this.
