It slides all over the place & I did put a pillowcase over it & on top of my pillow....to no avail. I don't like sleeping on vinyl either. By morning, it was all "bunched up" terrably. I followed instructions for bunching & it still stayed bunched up. I redid it again & again..to no avail. No matter what I do, the stuff in it stays bunched. Comments about Chillow Comfort Device, 1 ea: Over the years I have purchased 6 of the Chillows. EVERY one of them has developed a tiny split on the seam and leaked within 6 months. The first had a 1 year warranty and was replaced. After that they changed their warranty to 30 DAYS! The product works great, but their warranty [*]! If they changed their price to around 10 bucks it would be worth the short life span but the retail price is way too much for a product that has such a short lifespan. Pros

Comments about Chillow Comfort Device, 1 ea: I loved it at first, but ran into some problems. Because the foam inside that holds the water ISN"T sewn into the exterior cover, it tends to get bunched up and discombobulated. I had a very hard time fixing it and smoothing it back out. As a result after last summer I didn't even bother to pull it out again because it would just get messed up every two or three nights. I think this problem would be easily fixed if the manufacterer sewed the foam to the interior lining. So... great idea, but until they fix that problem it is not worth the [$].

But this was not comfortable enough to sleep on so was completely useless to me. My step-mother drapes it over a chair to lean back on during the day - I guess that's one use for it.

Comments about Chillow Comfort Device, 1 ea: Great for hot nights, or hot bodies. Also great pain reliever when ice packs are called for. 20 minutes on is the rule and the beauty of the Chillow is that it starts to warm up after 20 minutes, so no danger if you fall asleep. That has been the best plus for me for bedtime muscle pain.

This product was definitely worth the money as it provided much needed relief. I place it under my pillowcase each night before bedtime and it does it's job to keep me cool. I haven't had any problems with it at all. I filled it initially, removed the air bubbles per instructions and it was good to go. I even take it when I leave home.

Comments about Chillow Comfort Device, 1 ea: My wife's night sweats and hot flash discomfort was greatly reduced by this product. The directions must be followed carefully, as this is science. The pillow must be "charged" with water, allowed to "rest," and then it must be "topped off" and any air pockets "burped" as described in the instructions. Also, care must be taken to maintain the pillow's integrity: No cats with claws, for instance, lest they puncture it. We use it between a fairly rigid "memory foam" pillow and two pillow cases, and it works well.

Comments about Chillow Comfort Device, 1 ea: You fill the Chillow with water, remove as much air as you can, then chill it or leave it at room temp. Either way it keeps your neck and head (or wherever you use it) stay cool. It makes it easy for me to fall asleep. In the middle of the night I usually turn it around to get new cool spots. Another bonus: if you're in a pillow fight, you'll win for sure!
