Have had it for 3 years now. I have 2 Bishon Dogs that sleep with us. Unfortunately, I had to share the chillow with one of the dogs. Got tired of that, so I bought them each one for the living room couch. They love it...just try to push them off it!

I think it's the best thing I've bought in years. Already bought one for my sister, and she loves hers too. We live in San Diego, and we've had a warm summer. It's a little cumbersome to take around....but oh, the coolness of it is well worth it. I use it while reading, watching TV, and in bed. I couldn't be happier.

I had such high hopes for the Chillow! The material it's made out of feels like you're laying your head on a doctor's office examining table -- you could put it in a pillow case, but then it doesn't feel as cool. Not that it's very cool to begin with.

The Chillow gets cool, but does not stay cool even for an hour. It is very heavy when filled with water, is impossible to move around while you're lying down, and does not offer a pleasant surface to sleep on. Once it's been filled, it is impossible to completely empty it of water. This would make it unsuitable for travel, and also makes it expensive to return for a refund. It's a good idea, but they haven't succeeded in developing a good product.

I have had my Chillow for several years - living in Florida makes it a necessity. Chemotherapy dumped me into menopause 11 years ago. I learned that if you "chill" the Chillo in the refrigerator for an hour or so before bedtime - the extra chill is quite refreshing. I put it in a separate pillow case and fold the unused half of the pillow case back over the Chillo again and it works quite well all night.

This is a wonderful little invention. I cannot sleep without it. It keeps my face cool until I fall asleep, so I get more sleep in. That's definitely a plus! What I will say about it, though, is that it only lasts eight or nine months if used every night. However, this works out great because the Chillow has a 1-year warranty. So whenever mine tears along the seam, I just send it in and get a new one. I've gone through 3 or 4 of them. Some earlier reviews say that they leak, but the model has changed and become more durable as time has gone on. So if you didn't like it before because of leakage, you might want to try it again.
I am a faithful customer. I need my Chillow! :)

I suffer from fibromyalgia and severe migraines caused by bulging discs in my neck. I thought perhaps that the chillow would help keep my head cool at night while I slept to ease the pain. I have tried almost everything on the market and this is by far one of the worst products I have tried. The chillow doesn't get that cool, and is very bulky which makes it uncomfortable to sleep on. It's a great concept, but I think the designers came up short.

I have fibromyalgia, and my doctor recommended that I purchase a chillow. I had no idea what he was talking about, so I came home and did what everyone does these days, I got on the Internet and found this site. Since my husband purchased this chillow for me, I feel better and I don't wake up as much in the middle of the night like I used to. I love my chillow, and I am thankful to drugstore.com for having this important medical equipment.

This product works well for night sweats or just generally cooling off when you're overheated. Would be great if they had it available in different sizes.
The problems I have with it are...
1. It tends to collect your body heat and become warm after a while and I have to move it in the middle of the night when I get too hot.
2. It can be a bit akward at times to get it in the right position so that you're not laying on the plug.
3. Cover could be much softer, I find it itchy against bare skin. I've put a pillow case on it but since it's much smaller than a regular pillow, so that causes problems with wrinkles in the case.
Generally I would recommend this product because it does do the job it's intended for, it could just use a little improvement. Just be aware that it does heat up and isn't quite as comfortable as advertised. Maybe get two so that you can switch them around and always have a cool one available.
