I was trying these for snoring - I do not have sleep apnea but do snore - not overweight but they say snoring is hereditary and my family are snorers!

My husband was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea so he uses a CPAP to sleep. His mouth would often fall open in the middle of the night and create the wind tunnel sound. And if he didn't use his CPAP, the snoring was awful. These have cured all of those issues and I now get a good night's rest!

This product works very well. I have a full beard and it even works with the beard. The 2 keys are to wash and dry your face before use, and to use breathe right nasal strips for nasal passage breathing. I have almost eliminated all snoring and I awake more refreshed each morning.

when I was first put on bi-pap, the chin strap that wraps over my head drove me crazy, but my mouth would not stay closed w/o it.

I stumbled upon Chin-ups....this was about 8 years ago. I have used them ever since. I was not able to use my bi-pap until I found them. absolute life saver.

say goodnight to your partner before you put it on because talking, sneezing, yawning are not possible once in place.

CPAP users!!! I have used the chin-up strips in place of chinstraps. I have used all four types of chin-up strips. I prefer the white ones, although the tan ones have more staying power. I did not like the horsehoe style (not sold here) because it was too large for my face. I am sold on chin-up strips.

Sore throat?? This may help. My husband was a chronic mouth breather in his sleep. As a result, he usually would develop sore throat problems all fall and winter. His throat would get all dried out and get irritated. This thing keeps his mouth shut and last year he rarely had a sore throat, and we owe it to these strips. Not very attractive to look at, and he still snores occasionally, but well worth it to not have a terrible sore throat that he couldn't even talk sometimes.

First, I'd like to say that the picture on the box shows someone NOT wearing the product. It's a large, white, soft U-shaped patch that you apply to one cheek, under your lower lip, and back up to the other cheek. The adhesive is nice... it sticks, but removes easily. The way it works is by keeping your mouth closed while you sleep. The only problem is that my husband had a cold and NEEDED to breathe through his mouth. But it does prevent you from snoring. A little discomfort that I'm sure you'd get used to, in exchange for a night of snoring, is pretty good.
