My Gyno recommended this as an alternative to Fosamax based on new studies that show Fosamax only adds a layer of bonelike material on top of compromised weak foundation; Whereas the genistein in this product has been shown to actually regrow bone from the inside. Soy products are pretty amazing. Based on new science. I'll give it a try for a year, have my bone density tested, and see what happens......

I am a regular citracal consumer and I buy it because it is calcium citrate (hence the citra-cal name) and not calcium carbonate which does a number on me. I bought this without closely checking it out because citracal is citracal, right? Wrong. The first ingredient is calcium carbonate. Unfortunately I didn't notice until I had opened it. Waste of money.

My doctor recommended I use this product which helps my bones. I have RA and have bone density test every year. Citracal has been helpful in maintaining strong bones.

This product caused acid reflux. It also cannot be taken with some blood pressure medicines. I believe the regular citracal is much better even if you need to take it several times per day.

I starting using Citracal instead of the perscription drug perscribed by my doctor following a bone density test that revealed lower than desirable results. I haven't had another test yet but I can say that my back and neck pain is gone, and overall I feel more flexible. In fact, I have no bone or joint discomfort at all. I believe this product works and I expect to receive good readings from the next bone density test.

Changed to this product after taking the prescription drugs for osteoporosis... three years of taking 3 different prescription drugs for treatment of osteoporosis....NOTHING worked..plus side affects from the prescription drugs were terrible..... One and a half years on this product and my bone density was UP!! .... AND no longer diagnosed as osteoporosis!! and at my age 71...thats amazing....will keep this going and hopefully next year my bone density will be even better!
Have told everyone i know to use this as well as telling my Doctors what I changed to as they were amazed and wanted to know what I was doing!

I take this product twice a day, 3 each time. Suggested by my physician to take this product for a strong bone builder. Easy to take, along with my vitamins. Nice to know there are not alot of additives in the product.
