This one does just that - but doesn't weigh my hair down. If I am going for a more natural look, I use only this product and not gels or anything else. If I did not have it, my hair would look like a bad, thick clown wig of frizz! This one works okay. It does NOT add shine but DOES help smooth dry, frizzy hair like mine. I tried only using a mousse and only using a hairdryer with ionic/ceramic properties but it was not enough. This product is a MUST for me and would venture the opinion that most women over 40 have probably developed the same problem with dry frizzy flyaway hair but a little of this product really does work! Just be cautious at the crown of your hair because it can weigh it down to a more greasy-look. I do think it's overpriced and am looking for an alternative but until then... I was very unimpressed. I have curly long hair and I am always looking for things to tame it and make it looks shiny and silky. This product is not supposed to be used with heat, however I have tried it with and without heat and it doesnt change the way it works, or rather doesnt work. It is good becasue it doesnt make the hair feel greasy, but it just soaks in and I didnt notice any shine or extra smoothness.I have used the Paul Mitchell smoothing serum and gloss drops which both work much better. Even the NYC glossing serum which I cannot find anywhere works better than this stuff. It is probably just my hair, so if you have long curly, dray hiar I wouldnt recommend this product. I have thick, shoulder-length, relaxed hair and the anti-frizz serum straigtens, shines, and adds amazing body. I get compliments all the time about how beautiful and healthy my hair looks. I don't understand why the Citre Shine line is so difficult to find in local stores, but thank goodness for drugstore.com ! The other products are great, too, but I'm still having trouble finding the styling mousse. Remember...a little goes a long way, so don't weigh your hair down with too much. This size bottle is a great value. It adds a lot of shine, smooths fly-aways and smells great. Just don't use too much or it looks greasy.
