Clairol got it wrong with this supposedly new and improved formula. The old was perfect...this new formula is much harsher and the color is redder. I won't be buying this anymore.

I loved the previous natural instincts.
The color always looked natural and received many compliments.
It was gentle on my hair.
The new natural instincts is harsher on my hair even my hairdresser(that loved the older natural instincts) recommends that I stop using this new one.
The 2 week revitalizer not only puts too much red in my hair but is a nuisance to use.
I use to brag about Natural Instincts but not anymore.
I would love to know where I can get the older Natural Instincts 13 suede/light brown
I am 62 and have lots of grey hair use ev 6 weeks

Got tired of paying $60 at the salon. This was my first time doing my own color. I'm about 10% gray and wanted a color that would fade over time so chose a semi-permanent product. I was nervous but it was really simple to do. The color looks darker than the box, and the grays only picked up a little color so they are lighter than the rest of my hair, but it blends well and looks natural. I did notice some reddish highlights out in the sun but again, it looks natural. Conditioner included in package is great.

I use this product a little more often than suggested as I am now more than 50% gray. I don't like a gray crown so I touch up every two or three weeks. My hair stylist encourages me to continue using this product as my hair is the healthiest of any of her clients near 50 years of age. I'm not fond of the cream rinse fragrance, but I rinse with it then use my conditioner right after it and am happy with the result.

This color is so natural and it lasts just as long as when I used to get my hair colored at a salon for $65 plus tips. You cannot beat the value of this and my husband loves the color. I have natural red highlights in my hair anyway and this allows my natural hues to shine through but gives it the soft brown I was born with. The smell is pleasant, it doesnt run down my face or neck, and my hair is always softest when I use the conditioner it comes with. LOVE IT!!! I have used this one for years and will continue to as long as they keep making it. Way to go Clairol!

this product is pretty good as compared to most. It doesn't stink and I like the fact you can condition every week as opposed to Garnier that doens't give you weekly condition treatments. The only downfall is I'm not sure that a 10 minute color is sufficient to cover resistant grey or even 20.. if you need heavier coverage, use something else.. but I do like the way it turns out.. very nice color..

I've been using this product for over a year now. Permanent color used to dry out my brown hair and make it red and brassy. This hair color looks just like my natural color but better. My hair is now shiny and healthy looking. I do need to use it more frequently than they recommend to keep my grays covered. This is fine though as I simply use it in the shower when washing my hair. This product only takes 10 minutes to use. It also wears off quite naturally. I have no root line. The gray hair just looks lighter as if I have highlights when the color is fading. I can see that when I decide to go fully gray this product will help make it a natural-looking transition.

As a brunette I interchange hazelnut & suede colors - medium and light brown. Grey coverage turns out lighter giving automatic highlights. I'l also use it in conjunction with a highlighting kit for more variety as the mood suits. This is the only product that I don't seem to be allergic to!I've even done low lights using a cap pull through method, too. TIP: If you are just touching up, buy a separate squeeze bottle marked off in ounces and save money by using just one oz of each color and developer. Great for root touchups and a quick lift!

I've been using this product for years. I can't use the permanent hair coloring products as they make me feel ill. This gives me some reaction when I use it, but not as bad. The conditioner that comes with it should be sold separately - best conditioner I've ever used. It is amazing how my hair looks revitalized, shiny and healthy after using this product. I would like to see a product come out on the market with absolutely no harsh chemicals, but so far this one seems to be fairly gentle and works very well. Dont' skip doing a test strip if you have light or blonde hair that is dried out before using, as it will come out much darker than you would think it might.

I am very happy with the results from this hair color! I picked out the "suede" shade, which was described as "light brown," hoping to darken my highlights a little so they blended better with my dark roots until I could get to my salon. I left the color on the full 20 minutes, and ended up with an all-over medium brown shade....not exactly what I wanted, but it looks great...just like I came from the salon! My damaged hair is now shiny and somehow looks healthy. I am very happy with the results and am considering using this hair color on a permanent basis! Definitely worth the money!
