Hear it from an expert: Marie Robinson Clairol Colorist Named the "Best haircolor stylist" by Instyle magazine.
"Foam is next generation of at home hair color. Nice 'n Easy color blend give you multi-dimensional color with natural-looking tones and highlights."
Will foam hair color give me the same coverage as my regular formula? Absolutely! Color Blend Foam is designed to cover and color completely, front to back and root to tip. Simply distribute the foam evenly throughout your hair and follow the time indicated in your strand test. Watch our How-to video for more tips.
How is foam's coverage better than liquid or crme coverage? Color Blend Foam gives you more product volume as it foams up offering effortless, complete coverage. With Color Blend Foam, it's easy to cover every strand over your entire head.
Does foam spread as easily as liquid or stay in place as well as cream? Whereas a liquid spreads more easily than a cream, a cream stays in place better. Nice `n Easy Color Blend Foam combines the best of both worlds. It behaves like a solid when resting, eliminating the drip-factor, but acts as a liquid when moving, making it easier to spread.
How does foam actually color my hair? Once it is applied to your hair, your hair's natural oils collapse the foam. The resulting liquid is drawn through the hairs, allowing the color to penetrate hair quickly and evenly from root to tip. Color Blend Foam will not begin to collapse until it's applied to your hair.

Comments about Clairol Nice 'n Easy Color Blend Foam, Lightest Golden Brown 6.5G, 1 ea:
I don't know what some of these reviewers are talking about when they say 'messy' or 'hard to use'. This product goes on so easy, much faster and covers way better than applying the old cream formula. Please ladies, give this product a second try.
Comments about Clairol Nice 'n Easy Color Blend Foam, Lightest Golden Brown 6.5G, 1 ea:
the ads are full of it, not easy to apply and if you have arthritis, terrible to squeeze bottle , did not cover all the roots and found stained very easily, did not like the end result either will color again using their other lineup of color made by nice and easy permanent, my hair feels like straw.
Comments about Clairol Nice 'n Easy Color Blend Foam, Lightest Golden Brown 6.5G, 1 ea:
nice'easy color blend is a fantastic product that appears to be soon done away with.
Low odor to none at all, gentle on hair, two tone that was amazing. This has been a winner.
I know that NEW is always necessary to marketing...so hows about...new applicator...new box...new gloves...same reliable product.
The foam is horrible to say the least. Now I don't know what to do. I love Clairol, but afraid to try another failure. Can I purchase nice'n easy color blend on the net when it is no longer in stores? So disappointed:( Lynne
Comments about Clairol Nice 'n Easy Color Blend Foam, Lightest Golden Brown 6.5G, 1 ea:
Stay far, far away from this new foam!! My hair has smelled something like rotten tomatoes for three days now. It is *nauseating*.
I followed the instructions exactly.
After the last step (the conditioner in the pink packet), my hair feels damaged. That has never happened with the "regular" Nice 'n Easy or the Nice 'n Easy Grey Coverage. I have used both of those many, many times. I even used a generous amount of leftover conditioner (in the blue tube) from those products for the past two days and my hair still feels damaged.
The color (5A) is also a completely different color than in the other two Clairol products mentioned above.
I am not even a little bit pleased with this hair color!!
Comments about Clairol Nice 'n Easy Color Blend Foam, Lightest Golden Brown 6.5G, 1 ea:
after many years using henna to dye my gray hair I finally gave in to this product mostly because I wanted it fast and easy. That was exactly how it works. It was easy and no mess. smells a little bit too strong, but after washing the hair the smell practically gone. My 80% gray hair took color very well and looks pretty. I wish it was less expensive though.

Smells like beer and stains way too easily. Was very difficult to wash out. I will never use this product again. Pump was also difficult to use and may be difficult for someone who has arthritis or carpal tunnel.
Do the skin allergy test 48 hours before each application, even if you have already used coloring products.
Before Starting:

Frequently Asked Questions: About Clairol Products
How do I mix it? For best results, less is more. Here are some tips: Once you pour the colorant, which is bottle 1, into the foamer bottle (bottle 2), put the cap on and give it 3 simple shakes to mix the contents. The formula mixes easily. No more shaking is necessary. The mixed formula remains a liquid in the bottle; the foam forms when you squeeze it into your hand.
If you over-shake or continue to shake during the application process, the bottle may fill with foam and cause the foam to be runny. If this happens, do not apply yet. See number 3 below.
How do I apply it? After 3 simple shakes, allow the mixture to settle for 30 seconds. Then, squeeze the center of the bottle to start the foaming action. The mixed formula remains a liquid in the bottle; the foam forms when you squeeze it into your hands. Apply the foam to your head with your hands. Continue applying until your hair is completely wet.
If the foam is runny, do not apply; discard on a paper towel or tissue. You may have over-shaken the product. Allow the mixture to settle for 30 seconds, then squeeze the foamer bottle lightly 2-3 times until high-quality foam is dispensed. Keep the bottle upright while squeezing for the best quality foam and to prevent runniness.
It didn't foam up; it was a runny foam. What's wrong? You may have over-shaken it. You only need 3 simple shakes to mix the product. This technology works with the unique foamer cap to transform the liquid in the bottle and create a drip-free foam in your hand when the bottle is squeezed. If the foam is runny, do not applydiscard on a paper towel or tissue. Allow the mixture to settle for 30 seconds, then squeeze the foamer bottle 2-3 times until high quality foam is dispensed. Do not re-shake during use.
Holding the bottle horizontally while squeezing can also cause runny foam to be dispensed. Be sure to keep the bottle upright while using.
For future use, please remember:
You only need 3 simple shakes to mix the product, using a gentle shake. You don't want a lot of foam to be created inside the bottle.
The product should remain liquid in the bottle and you must squeeze the bottle to create foam in your hand.
Always let the product settle for 30 seconds after mixing to ensure the foam in the correct consistency.
Do not re-shake during use.
Additional Instructions
Before you color - 48 Hours in Advance
Take the Allergy Test.
Do the Strand Test to determine your optimal coloring time.
Read the entire instructions before you begin.
Skin Allergy Test Instructions Must be performed 48 hours before you color your hair
You will need a cotton ball or swab, a plastic bowl and a plastic spoon.
To open, unscrew the entire Color Blend Foam Activator developer bottle cap (#2). Then unscrew the Color Blend Foam Formula cap (#1).
Mix small equal parts of the Color Blend Foam Formula and Color Blend Foam Activator in a plastic bowl.
Tightly recap both bottles.

Examine the test area during the next 48 hours. If no reaction occurs, you are ready to color.
The absence of a reaction to this test is no guarantee that an allergic reaction may not occur as a result of a future hair coloring process. However, this test represents an important precaution. Please consult a doctor if you have any doubts.
Note: if a rash, redness, burning or itching occurs, you may be allergic. Stop. You must not use this product.
Strand Test:
Do the Strand Test each time you color to determine optimal timing and color results. Perms, relaxers, previous color, and the sun can affect your results and timing. You will need: scissors, tape and a clock.
Cut a inch wide strand from the darkest or grayest part of your dry hair close to the scalp and tape at the cut end.
Completely cover the hair strand with the mixture remaining from the allergy test. Start timing. After 15 minutes, check the strand. If the strand is not the color you want, return it to the mixture and check the color every few minutes for up to 25 minutes. For extra light blonding, more intense color results, or to cover resistant grays, it may be necessary to leave the hair color on for up to 45 minutes. Fill in your personal color time below: My timing for desired color: _______ minutes.
Color Hints & Tips:
Do not apply to wet hair. Apply color to dry hair that is free of styling product build-up. If hair has build-up, shampoo one day prior to coloring.

Use the additional ColorSeal Conditioning Gloss 1 week after coloring.
Call the Expert Color Consultants at 1-800-CLAIROL if you are going more than two shades lighter or darker than your current color, going dramatically red or if you have bleached, double processed or highlighted hair.
