I had very severe allergies which warranted having an EPI pen when it was severe enough to close by windpipe. Also I had a sinus infection continuously for a whole year. After taking Claritin D, the drainage subsided and now I only need to take this product in the Spring when everything is blooming. I'm so glad it's over the counter now and the 12 hour formula is available, because the 24 hr was too strong for me. Instead of telling people I have allergies, I now tell them I'm just "Allergy Challenged". VS Most Liked Negative Review If it works for you ... While on it I am in a haze even after giving it a chance for several days and my allergies are not helped much. It gives me unsettled sleep with bizarre dreams, making me more tired throughout the day. I am staying away from this as I don't trust what other effects it may be having on me. Allegra is much better--though that may be apples to oranges, since this is OTC and that's prescription. Oh well. Comments about Claritin 24 Hour Allergy, Tablets, 30 ea: I used to take Benadryl but I learned the ingredient is a sleep aid (it's in my Tylenol PM)! Now I only take Claritin and my allergies go away. It doesn't get me wired and doesn't make me tired. Like the TV ads say, I'm Claritin clear! I have severe allergy problems and Claritin helps me live normally. I have tried many others, but none of them work anywhere nearly as well as Claritin. Little to no side effects.
