Indications
Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies:
nasal congestion
runny nose
sneezing
itchy, watery eyes
itching of the nose or throat
reduces swelling of nasal passages
temporarily relieves sinus congestion and pressure
temporarily restores freer breathing through the nose
Warnings
Safety sealed: do no use if the individual blister unit imprinted with Claritin-D® 24 hour is open or torn.
Do not use if:
you have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients
you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.
Ask a doctor before use if you have:
heart disease
thyroid disease
high blood pressure
diabetes
trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland
liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should determine if you need a different dose.
When taking this product do not take more than directed. Taking more than directed may cause drowsiness.
Stop use and ask a doctor if:
an allergic reaction to this product occurs. Seek medical help right away.
symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by a fever
nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occurs
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

My doctor prescibed this for me before it was available over the counter. The main benefit is that it helps my allergies and does not make me drowsy. All my life I've suffered from year round allergies and medication from years ago used to put me to sleep. So I would struggle through college classes trying to stay awake in the Spring and the Fall especially. Claritin covers my indoor allergies too and I can take it all year.

I've been taking daily for about a month. This is the only allergy med that relieves my allergy symptoms and doesn't cause drowsiness. I take one tablet in the early morning and I'm good for the whole day...I don't take it at night. I tried several others and will stick with Claritin D-12.

I think Claritin D works wonders for my allergy symptoms. Once the meds are in your system they seem to work even longer than 12 hours, meaning I use them less often! This is the best product that I've used without a prescription.

I have been using Claritin-D for a while, the 12 hour works a lot better then the 24 hour. With the 24 hour, sypmtoms come back way before you can take another dose. The price here is A LOT cheaper than in your store!

I used to have severe allergies/sinus problems, needed prescription Claritin/Flonase. Then I started using a Netty pot and most symptoms subsided. HOWEVER, whenever I have a head cold or an allergy trigger Claritin-D always works.

I use this all the time when I just don't have time to mess with the more complicated solution (Netty, etc). Works well enough to let me ignore the rest.
