I saw so many one-star reviews for this product that all said the same thing: it bleached their towels, it dried their skin like no other. Listen here, this acne cleanser has 10% BENZOYL PEROXIDE in it. Of COURSE it's going to bleach your towels if you're not careful - benzoyl peroxide is a bleacher. VS Most Liked Negative Review pretty good... ive been using this product for about a month now, and that's about how long its taken for my acne to clear. ive noticed that this product clears my acne quickly and i havent ...Read complete review ive been using this product for about a month now, and that's about how long its taken for my acne to clear. ive noticed that this product clears my acne quickly and i havent been breaking out as much. before using this product i used to break out a lot all over my cheeks and the sides of my chin, and now that is almost clear (i have a couple of scars) but ive been breaking out on the middle of my chin and little bumps on my forehead while using this product. its kind of wierd how this product makes my skin break out in different places. also KEEP THIS PRODUCT AWAY FROM YOUR EYES! the area underneath and around my eyes are itchy red and gross. really bad irritation. after using it for about a month my skin felt finally clear on about the third week. but this might have just been me cause that was the week my swim team ended and my face wasnt exposed to chlorine. since then ive joined another swim team and my acne has been back. i guess if youre normal and it's used on a regular basis it can be effective. overall this product was good, but not amazing. I noticed this cleanser working consistently after about a month. It has dramatically reduced the number of blemishes and size of my pores. I had a little irritation in the first couple weeks and I recommend getting white washcloths as a solution to the bleaching issue. I use it along with the Oil of Olay microdermabrasion kit and have seen a definite improvement in my skin. My experience says give it a try; if irritation or overdrying occurs I would back off to only using it once a day. Also be careful around eyes! Pros

I've tried countless OTC and prescription products, and this remains one of my favorite face washes. My skin mainly breaks out in a mixture of deep whiteheads and cystic-type acne, which can be extremely painful. I have found the 10% Benzoyl Peroxide solution to be very effective on cutting down and fighting the bacteria under my skin. I do not recommend this for people who are looking for a gentle cleanser. It is highly medicated and is designed for more problematic forms of acne. If you are suffering from more serious acne, I HIGHLY encourage you to see a dermatologist. You are not going to be able to fight your acne with just OTC products. Pros

My skin is very oily and i normaly have wash it twice or more a day. with this product that is not an option it really dries your skin out after you wash your face. So if your like me and your skin gets very oily again after 4 hours it dries your face its not good. Also it bleached my towels i use a wash cloth to wash my face and realized it takes the color out of my brown and green washcloths. so beware Pros

Comments about Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser, 5 oz: I actually came across this product because a dermaotlogist had recommended a prescription face wash with benzoyl peroxide which was expensive and not covered by my insurance. The prescription product was actually only 5% benzoyl peroxide, while this product has 10% benzoyl peroxide. The majority of medicated face washes contain either benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, and I find that, at least for me personally, benzoyl peroxide is a better product because salicylic acid dries my skin after using it for a few days. This face wash has a slight tingle but does not burn, and i do not typically have problems with dry skin. With all of my acne problems through the years, this product has been a life-saver and I have recommended it to numerous other people! A great product, at a much cheaper price than comparable prescription products!  Pros

I've been using it for over 3 years now and I've tried Poraciv and lots other skin treatments- but i've alawys fallen back on this product. Comments about Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser, 5 oz: This is the best over the counter acne control face wash I've found. The active ingredient is the most effective you can get. Only drawback is that it's somewhat drying if used twice a day. I use once daily in the AM, along with a salicylic acid containing cleanser at night, and always use moisturizer afterwards.
