Using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor.

What i decided to do changed my life. I researched a bit and figured out that to get rid of my acne i should: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize,and occasionally use a treatment. So i did just that, i bought persa gel 10(this), a biore pore minimizing mousturizer, Deep cleansing Oil by DHC(removes makeup), and an expensive soothing apricot toner from elemis. So i used all of them except the persa gel for about a month and so great improvements. When i first got the gel i didnt read the instructions and just slathered it on. I was horrified the next morning, my oilyish face was dry! The next time i used the gel i READ the instructions and applyed a small dab after using my toner before bed. That morning i cleansed ,toned,mostiurized my face and was amazed. My skin looked AMAZING!!!! Ever since then i use a small dab on my problem spots before bed, and most pimple are gone! on the toughys i will apply a small amount more and it might take 2-3 days but it will be all clear! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS TO ANYONE WITH ACNE BECAUSE UNLIKE OTHER PRODUCTS.......IT WORKS!!!

I use this as a spot treatment on my occasional blemishes. They go away in a couple days, but I really don't know if the gel has anything to do with it or if they just go away on their own. I was hoping for more of a drying clear gel that I could put on spots in the morning, but this is a visible, smelly white cream. It isn't terrible, but I won't buy it again.

I use this product at night after washing my face with a salicylic acid cleanser and applying a moisturiser. I just apply a thin layer on any pimples I have and let the product dry completely before sleeping. I mostly just have about one to three pimples at any given time.
Benzoyl peroxide will bleach some fabrics so be aware of that, especially if you are prone to sweating at night or roll around in your sheets quite often. I find that this product works well for ME in reducing pimples. But acne/pimples derive from many factors such as genetics, lifestyle choices (eating habits, exercise, etc.), and other products that interact with the skin so results may not always be the same.

I have had severe acne since age 12, I am now 26 years old, and I have tried everything on the market. I have used accutane 2x, tried laser and microdermabrasion, in addition to the pills and creams from the dermatologist. I had great luck with this product and with zapzyt (also sold on this site.) It took awhile but I finally figured out that the benzyl peroxide products worked well for me while the salicylic acid products were not very effective. This product does bleach fabric so you need to be careful w/ towels and pillow cases but overall this product has been very effective for me.

Again, for ~ [$], it's difficult to expect miracles from this product, but what it lacks in price point, it more than makes up for in its effectiveness, if only by virtue of the fact that it desiccates virtually EVERYTHING on contact. Contrary to what the package indicates, this really shouldn't be applied in a thin film over any sort of blemish > several mm in diameter. The 10% formulation is quite strong, and as with all products whose active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, one must take extra special care with t-shirts, towels, pillow cases, etc. Still, as spot treatments go, this one works quite well on superficial blemishes and minor imperfections. I found that small dab applied on the tip of a moistened q-tip works quite well.

I love this product! It works so much better than other benzoyl peroxide acne products out there. I don't know what clean & clear has added to make it work better, but they've done a fantastic job!

Tips to make this product work.
For those people who say it's too harsh and makes their face too puffy and irritated, that is a normal sign that it's working, your face is trying to cope with the chemical, if you just give up it won't work.
For those people who have sensitive skin, if this product irritates your skin when applied, apply a small quantity or just buy a lower strength one like, 5%, or 2.5%.
For those people who think it's ineffective, try to apply more doses of it. You should start to feel your skin getting dry and irritated as it's coping with it.

I suffer from occasional pimples and clogged pores on my t-zone.
Because my skin problems are caused by oily skin, I use this product to dry my skin out. No oil = no clogged pores = no pimples.
I apply a thin layer to my t-zone at night because my skin gets really oily overnight & clogs up my pores further. By using this, I prevent the oiliness at night which prevents clogged pores in the morning. And I wake up with MUCH noticeably smaller pores the following morning.
If I have a pimple or feel one coming out, I apply a THICK layer to the spot overnight. The pimple is usually gone after 1, if not 2 days.
Of course, this product is very drying. So if you have dry skin, ONLY apply it to your problem areas.
I also recommend using this as an overnight treatment, so that in the day time, you can slather on your moisturizers to regain the moisture balance of your skin.

I have tried so many different acne products with no luck over the last 15 years. Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 was literally a miracle cream for me. I use it very sparingly only in my breakout areas, and it works beautifully. It doesnt irritate my sensitive skin. I am so grateful to have clear skin now. I hope they never discontinue this product now that I have finally found something that actually works!!!! Thank you Clean & Clear. I am so happy. I just wash with Basis Sensitive Soap and use Theraneem Aloe Gel for a moisturizer and dab a small amount of this gel on my breakout areas.
Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication. Cover the entire effected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day.
